The weather was warm and comfortable. Your friend, Taehyung, was seated beside you on a bench. The both of you had purchased a couple sodas from the drink machine and were quietly enjoying the scenery together. Errant strands of his bright blue hair flew up with every small gust of wind that blew by. Taehyung took a sip of his drink and played with his lip ring, chewing on it in thought before speaking. "I'm thinking about getting another tattoo." "Do it." You responded impulsively, knowing he was used to the needle. "We should go get tattoos together." Your brows raised. "No." "Are you scared?" He asked, slinging his arm over your shoulders. "No." "You can hold my hand." He grinned, wiggling his brows. That comment earned him a punch in the side, making him retract his arm from over your shoulders. "Ow." He pouted. "You deserve it." "Kiss it better." "No." "Please?" Rolling your eyes, you blew a kiss towards his "injured" side. "No, I want a real kiss." "You're not getting one." He sighed in defeat and chugged the rest of his soda. "I'm serious about getting another tattoo." He insisted, reverting back to the topic from earlier. "Yeah, I know." "Let's go tonight, both of us." "No thanks. You can go by yourself." "I don't want to, plus I know you've been talking about wanting a tattoo." "Yeah but—" "So come with me. You can get one too." "I already said no." "Well... you could at least come and support me." He pouted, sticking his bottom lip out. "Fine." You huffed. "Seriously?" "I might as well. You won't leave me alone if I keep saying no." His entire face lit up even though you agreed partially against your will, his cheeks becoming round as he grinned.
Later that night, you met up with Taehyung and headed to a local tattoo parlor. "Have you decided if you're getting one?" He asked as you walked up to the glass doors. "I don't know. I thought maybe I did, but now that we're here I'm not so sure. I'm a little nervous." "Hey." Taehyung's hand gently wrapped around your upper arm, stopping you before you walked in. "It's okay, you don't have to get one. I won't make fun of you for it." Taehyung's kindheartedness surprised you a little, not that he was never mean or anything, but you'd never seen him so serious. "I was really nervous the first time I got a tattoo, but I was with the boys and had to put on a brave face." He confessed with an amused breathy chuckle. "It actually wasn't that bad though." You smiled softly, reassured by his story. "Thank you." He offered you a gentle smile and a supportive squeeze to your upper arm before opening one of the doors to the shop.
"How can I help you?" A girl covered in tattoos asked when the both of you entered, the question uttered through loud smacks of gum in her mouth. "I'm here to get a tattoo." Taehyung told the receptionist. "We're here to get a tattoo." You corrected. Taehyung turned to you with wide eyes as if to silently question if this was really happening. You grinned and nodded. "Someone will be out in a minute. You can have a seat." She gestured to a waiting area with a few red leather chairs lining the wall.
