Jeongin was worried. He thought this week was going to be great after hearing of the sleepover plans yesterday, maybe stressful, but great nonetheless.

However, he hadn't even seen Chan walk the halls.

"Where's Chan?"

Jeongin snapped out of his thoughts, head shooting up to see the source of the question was Felix. "I'm not sure."

"I haven't seen him all day," Seungmin stated, Hyunjin and Jisung  nodding in response.

Jeongin stared at the cafeteria door, hoping he would just walk through. He couldn't help but feel anxious. Chan always sat with Changbin, Woojin, and Minho in the cafeteria.

Footsteps approached their table, and they all looked over to see Minho. A bright smile appeared on Jisung's face, and past a few tables Jeongin could see Changbin make a dramatically disgusted expression.

"Hey, Jisung," Minho chimed charismatically towards Jisung.

Jisung stared at Minho with a smitten look in his eyes, speaking with a nervous tone, "Hi, hyung."

Minho seemed like he had something to ask as he took the free seat between Jisung and Felix, getting comfortable and leaning close to Jisung as they waited for him to speak, "Do you guys know where Chan is?"

All of them collectively shook their heads to answer no, Minho then nodding in understanding.

Jeongin stared at his open lunch box as he sadly fiddled with his hands. "I haven't seen him all day," he said quietly.

"Changbin seen him in the classes they share, but I think he's left for the rest of today." Minho informed.

"Why would he do that? I didn't think he would ever ditch a class," Felix questioned.

"Doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would, you're right about that for sure, but for the past two monthes every time his parents have come back home he skips at least one class, sometimes I would even skip with him," Minho could see the collective confusion on their faces, suddenly realizing they didn't know. "Chan's parents sell houses and travel to expand the business, sometimes they leave for weeks on end."

Jeongin couldn't help but frown at the thought, his eyes watering a little. " Does he leave because he's upset that they left or to see them sooner?" Jeongin inquired.

"I have no idea, but I know it's not because he's happy to see them," Minho said simply.

They all left the topic at that, not wanting to make eachother worry too much, but Jeongin wouldn't and couldn't forget those words.

Jeongin ate half of his sandwich at lunch, but lost his appetite when he finally realized a few minutes before lunch ended that he wouldn't be coming.

Now here he is, sitting through his math class and wondering where the kind boy is.

He couldn't focus, math equations getting jumbled up in his head and scattering his thoughts, the only thing clear in his head being Minho's echoing words.
