STEVE CAREFULLY GOT out of alexa's grip at around six forty-five to go on his daily run. he held his breath as he watched her move, her face smushed into his pillow. he gave a soft smile, kissing her head softly. he changed into his workout clothes, and headed out.
alexa woke up to the sound of natasha mumbling stuff in russian outside the room. something about how 'this girl never is where i think she is.' alexa grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around her, getting out of bed. she opened the door, natasha spinning around quickly.
"what the hell? why are you in steve's room?" natasha looked over her shoulder, wondering if steve was in there. alexa slapped her shoulder, natasha looking back at her with a smirk.
"natasha! cut it out." alexa gave her a look. natasha shrugged her shoulders, that smirk still on her face. alexa walked out of the door way and closed the door behind her.
"so are you gonna explain or not lex." natasha said, her arms crossed over his chest.
"the nightmares came back. steve offered to um," she awkwardly scratched the back of her neck, natasha just smiling at her.
"let you fall asleep with him. i get it." natasha said softly. alexa nodded, adjusting the blanket around her shoulders.
"wanda made your favorite." natasha said, the two girls walking to the elevator. natasha pressed the up button, heading to the kitchen. the doors opened, everyone but steve eating.
"good morning lady alexa." thor said, a pop tart in his mouth. alexa smiled, waving to thor.
"good morning thor." she walked towards everyone, clint leaving a quick kiss to her temple as he walked by her. the two sat at the island, everyone else at the table.
wanda passed alexa a plate of waffles across the island, alexa grinning widely.
"gosh i love you wanda." alexa said, reaching for the syrup. wanda laughed, shaking her head.
"you're welcome alexa."
everyone ate, small conversation happening. alexa and sam washed and dried the dishes, them joking around as they did so. everyone dispersed, tony, bruce and alexa heading to the lab.
"FRIDAY, please tell steve when he comes back that i saved him some of wanda's waffles." alexa said as tony and bruce worked.
"will do miss micheals." she said back, alexa watching the two tinker.
"lex, do you know much about barnes?" tony asked, putting his tools down. alexa shook her head no, subconsciously playing with a bracelet.
