"beomgyu, do you want to do the poster at my place or yours?"

he looked up from his lunch, shrugging slightly.

"my place it is," she grinned, taking a bite out of the lunch that was made for her. "i've already picked our topic too— we'll be talking about the.."

beomgyu had stopped listening to her, instead just watching her as she spoke excitedly. he leaned his chin on his palm, blinking.

"beomgyu?" yue asked, tilting her head a bit, "you there?"

kai nudged beomgyu from beside him, "dude, you good?"

coming to his senses, beomgyu nodded quickly, "oh, uh, yeah. sounds good. i'll see you later." with that, he hurried out of the cafeteria, dumping his lunch tray on the way.

kai ran after him, leaving yeonjun and yue alone at the table. catching up to him, he grabbed beomgyu's arm, "bro, what was that in there?"

beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows, "what do you mean?"

"you were totally making googly eyes at yue," kai wiggles his brows, "ugh, it's literally been a year, when will you guys admit you're madly in love with each other?"

"what?" beomgyu really hadn't understood him, as the second thing kai had said was in english, and beomgyu wasn't all that fluent.

"nothing, man. have fun with your project," kai chuckled, walking away with his hands in his pockets, before realizing his class was in the other direction. he quickly turned, pointing ahead of himself, "it's this way."

"welcome to my humble abode," yue announced as they entered her apartment.

it was small, but homely. much more than beomgyu's house. as soon as he stepped in, he could feel the love that swarmed the room.

she picked up something, before jumping in front of beomgyu, "this is my baby, lucy," she introduced the small black cat in her arms. the cat purred softly, before meowing to be let down. "we can do the project in my room."

the two had been working on their poster for a little while, with the occasional secret glance at one another, both of them unaware that the other was copying their actions.

"can we take a break?" yue whined, sprawling out on her floor, "my brain is so tired."

he chuckled quietly, before slowly laying down on the floor beside her.

"what do you wanna be after high school, gyu?"

beomgyu tensed at the question, sucking in a quiet breath. "i- i honestly don't know," that was the truth. "i don't really have a plan," however, this was a lie.

his parents had his entire life planned out; go to college, get his degree, become a doctor, and provide for them. he knew he was gonna have to do it. but he didn't want to. the poor boy just wanted to do what he wanted— but that was the problem. he didn't know what he wanted.

"what about you?"

she shrugged slightly, "i'm not really good at anything. i'll probably go to some basic college or something."

beomgyu turned to look at her, realizing just how close they actually were.

"huh,"

yue turned her head to look at him, her eyes widening at their close proximity. her voice came out breathy, as she was almost afraid to ask why he said that. "what?"

he slowly reached a finger out, gently touching just below her eye, "i never noticed that mole. is it new?"
