I have to stay late again.
That's what Jungkook's text said when he reached out to you a couple hours prior, letting you know he'd be working late. He and his group were practicing for a comeback and, as with all comebacks, they had to give it their all and commit hours to perfecting their choreography. Being married to an idol wasn't always the easiest thing, but loving him definitely was, and that alone was enough to outweigh the cons.

To pass some time, you opened up Twitter and scrolled through your feed. You liked to lurk on ARMY Twitter sometimes and see what the fans were up to: what they were saying, which member got turned into a meme, and what songs they wished would be put on a tour setlist. Tonight, there was a variation of different topics being discussed, a lot them clips of Hoseok's recent TikTok post and a few reminiscent clips from past Run BTS episodes. As you scrolled, you came across one tweet in particular that stood out from the rest, one where someone was shipping Jungkook with a female idol.

Lisa and Jungkook are so cute together! They were made for each other! The caption was accompanied by a poorly-edited photo of the two idols together.
Your face twisted slightly, not only from the absurdity of the post, but because you knew Lisa was never interested in him, as he'd spoken to you in the past about how they had respect for one another as performers, but it never went past that.
You knew it was a bad idea, but you tapped on the tweet and scrolled down to read some responses.

Jungkook has a crush on IU though. Don't you see the way he looks at her?

You frowned slightly, disappointed that some people were bringing in other female idols instead of discouraging the behavior of the original poster. Thankfully, you came across some positive responses.

You knew you shouldn't give so much power to negative comments online and that most were either miserable internet trolls or young fans who didn't understand the weight that their words carried, but it was hard not to be hurt. Swallowing down the lump in your throat, you went to the quotes, which were filled with endless backlash towards the original poster, but even that wasn't enough to cheer you up.
A tear slipped from your glossy eyes and you closed out of Twitter, the lump in your throat growing as you fought back sobs. The excitement you felt about seeing your beloved husband was snuffed out and you decided to turn in for the night.
