Part 28: Misunderstanding

Before Krist can wait for his boyfriend return, Apple came. Apple shouted out Krist's name loudly downstairs in his dormitory. Krist looked down and saw her smiling face.

They sat down in a café near the campus. "Kitty, I am here say goodbye. I have to go back to America to continue my studies."

Apple just appeared suddenly, and before you know it, she's gone like the wind.

"Didn't you come back here to study?"

"I don't want others to control me. They complain so much, and that's why I hate them."

With that, Krist concluded that she was quite similar to Singto. But as soon as he thought of Singto, Krist began to feel troubled, stirring his green tears with his spoon.

"Um, Apple, do you know what happened to P'Sing?"

Apple stared blankly for a while and stop smiling. "I guess that guy didn't tell you."

"You really know about it?"

"His grandfather got ill and is staying in the hospital. Now he is accompanying his grandpa in hospital. His parents are always busy, so actually, Singto was brought up by his grandpa."

"Why didn't he tell me about such accident? It's ironic to learn this from you."

Although Krist worried about Singto's grandfather very much, he is Singto's lover, who learns about his boyfriend from others.

"According to my experience with him, he doesn't want you to worry about him, so he didn't tell you."

"But I am now more concerned this way."

"How can both of you have the same thought to one thing? Singto is Singto. You are you. Therefore, when it comes to a same thing, he doesn't want you to worry about him, so he didn't tell you everything, while you don't want to be treated like a stranger. Both of you act out of your own perspective and think of the other's perspective as well. So, you can't blame him, right?"

Apple's words helped Krist calm down. What she said was reasonable. Singto's grandpa is ill now, so it's not the right time to be upset. Krist was not an unreasonable one. He himself promised to stay beside Singto, so he will stay behaved.

At least, now that he knows about what had happened to his boyfriend, he feels much more at ease than not knowing anything. Apple checked the time and stood up.

"It's time for me to leave."

After taking two steps, she turned around and smiled to Krist.

"Krist, I'm glad that I knew you. I give Singto to you, so you need to try your best to love him, give it your all. Even if the whole world would be against you, I, Apple Lapisara, will always support you."

Having said all this, she waved her hand to Krist and left. Krist stared at the direction Apple headed, feeling touched.

When Krist returned to the dormitory, Chimon grabs him by the neck with his arm.

"Hey buddy, I made an appointment with some pretty girls today, and we are going to have dinner tonight. Come with me to fill the vacancy."

Krist threw Chimon's arm away. "I'm not going."

"Come on! We are best friend. I know that you have lost your interest for girls, so you won't steal their attention."

"You are so iniquitous."

"Every man for himself and the devil takes the hindmost. Come on. We haven't gone out drinking for so long. You wait for Singto like a sad wife every day. Why not find something to kill time?"
