The man's eyes narrowed, trying to place where the mask fit into his memories, but only for a split second. He quickly stood, his golden eyes wide. He tilted his head slightly "Sock? It's been so long. Is this where you've been?"

035, now knowing this was the doctor he'd spent years traveling with, felt a wave of emotions crash over him but he did his best to remain collected. "Well I travelled for awhile but I got stuck in a tomb in Venice and as soon as I thought I'd be freed I was locked up in here!" He gestured to the hallway walls. "How've you been all these years Doctor? Still working on your cure I presume?" He wasn't fond of just how much the doctor worked but he'd hate to get off on the wrong foot after all this time.

The Doctors eyes glistened with the smallest sliver of a smile before returning to their emotionless stare. It was a purposeful change, like he was correcting himself. "Yes, I'm still working on ridding the word of that filthy disease and each time I get closer to the perfect cure." 035 could listen to the Doctor talk for hours, he was quite possibly the only one who could get the mask to shut up. "And to answer your first question, I'd been traveling and foundation found me in the home of one of my patients. They've given me the title of 'SCP-049'. I'd assume they give everyone here numerical designations," it wasn't a question. 049 knew that the scientists called them by number and not names.

"Sadly," 035 sighed despite not breathing. "They call me 035. It adds to the . . . restrictive feeling of this place I suppose. It certainly doesn't do to well for ones mental health." He brought his hand up to brush his hair but by the time he realized what he did the deed was done. The black ooze felt odd, it was slimy and burned the skin it touched. His smile switched to frown as he wiped it on the wall, he could already see it eating away at the skin on his hand. This was the first time he'd seen '049' since their time together and he wanted it to go smoothly.

049 meanwhile stood still as a statue as he watched 035. He rolled his eyes at the mask and decided to continue their chat. " '035' do you suppose that means that they found me after you?"

After he finished wiping his hand on the wall he placed it on his hip, tilting it slightly. "I suppose it does but not being trapped in an abandoned crypt probably helped with that," he couldn't help but notice 049's eyes drifting towards the body lying on his he floor. "You'd rather get back to your work than listen to me ramble wouldn't you?"

049 shook his head slightly. "If my memory serves me correctly I put up with your ramblings plenty in the past, it should stand to reason that I'd still be able to. Besides I'd be interested in hearing more about the foundation."

The masks face returned to its usual smile. "Well then I'll tell you everything I know."
