I woke up late as I do most days, it had been at least a week since Colby arrived and he'd been getting quite close with a girl in my school but now school was over for summer break I thought that 'relationship' would end but I guess not all dreams come true.

I was eating my cereal when there was a knock on the door, I swallowed my mouthful before standing up and walking over to the door. I opened it to reveal a blonde haired girl with bright blue eyes, she had makeup on that seemed excessive for a Saturday, she also wore a white lacey crop top and blue ripped jean shorts with a pair of dark sunglass sitting on her head. She smiled at me unsure of what to say so I spoke up "Umm hello?"

"Sorry I think I got the wrong house" she exclaimed and then it clicked, I recognised her, she was the girl that Colby keep hanging out with.

"No you don't come in" Colby exclaimed from behind me, not letting me have a say in the matter.

"um ok" I mumbled as she walked past me.

"Y/n!!" My sister yelped from the front room distracting me from the other two people in the house.

"Colby..." I began but soon realised they had both walked out and into the back garden.

I sighed deeply before walking to my sister, who then grabbed my hand and guided me into the dining room. She proceeded to drop my hand climbing up onto a seat and standing on it before reaching over the table to grab a picture she drew. It had a girl in what seemed to be a massive dress and a boy standing next to her in what seemed to be a suit, "That's lovely Lila" I told her with a smile.

"Can you guess who they are?" she replied and I thought for a moment with an exaggerated expression before replying with the obvious answer.

"Mum and Dad," I said but Lila shook her head "No? Then who?" I asked

"You and Colby, you're getting married" she exclaimed excitedly.

I laughed to myself, yeah right as if he'd like me I just had a silly childhood crush which I picked up again, nothing more. Although I didn't want to burst her bubble, "Maybe" I told her when the sound of someone laughing caught my attention.

I looked outside through the glass sliding doors to see the blonde, I think her name was Hailey, laughing with Colby whilst sharing looks that seemed to be filled with love. I felt my heart crack, for some reason, like it was shattering and the pieces falling into the pit of my stomach. My eyes pricked with tears as I tore my gaze away from from the two and back to my little sister completely oblivious to the events going on outside and drawing more pictures.

"Yeah only in my dreams" I mumbled to myself, before busying myself with looking after my sister whilst my mum and brother were out.

It had been half an hour and Colby came back in "Hey, Y/n, could you get some water for Hailey and me" he asked but I stopped him before he could walk out again.
