Stay With Me: Hogwarts Rewritten

Part 15

It has been a few months since the Philosophers Stone was destroyed. It seems everything has gone back to normal as we finished out the year.

Today was our last day of school, and to say I was going to miss Hogwarts was an understatement. This place was like a second home to me. I made so many friends and had some of the best experiences I could ever ask for. It was only more wonderful having my best friend with me. It was only a few days ago when I watched Harry play his last quidditch game against Ravenclaw, it was an amazing sight watching Harry holding the quidditch cup.

"Okay Mione, I am packed and ready. Now we can go to the great hall and eat breakfast" Harry says running down the stairs

"Great. Don't for get your wizard hat. We have to wear them when the announce who won the house cup" I remind him

Now the hats were just like from those muggle movies Harry and I used to watch, it was funny that this was the only similarity from muggle movies and real life wizards.

I locked my hand with Harry's and we made our way to the great hall.

"I'm really going to miss this place. You know I don't want to leave truly, and we can't even practice magic when we get home. I just...don't want to leave all this yet" He said, I could hear the disappointment in his voice

"I know but summer in only a few months, then we get to come back" I told him

We walked in the great hall and made our way to the table. The table was filled with more food than usual, and everyone seemed more happy. I was really going to miss this. We sat down and ate the food and joked around with our friends like always. It wasn't long before we were all told to place our hats on our heads and the headmaster stood up with the house cup.

Harry's pov

"The year is ending, and it has been a great year indeed. We give congratulations to Gryffindor for winning the quidditch cup this year, what an amazing game they played. But now what everyone has been waiting for, the winner of the house cup....Gryffindor!"

I started clapping along with everyone else. Our whole table started screaming and shouting loudly. I knew we were going to win.

"We did it Harry! We won" Hermione yells pulling me in for a hug

All the cheers started to die down as we were all dismissed to our dormitories to finish packing, the train was going to be here soon.

Both Hermione and I went our separate ways. I walked into my room and started to pack up all my clothes.

"This year has been great, if only we could do magic through the summer" I heard Neville say behind me

"Yeah, but summer won't last forever. I'm glad I got to know you Neville. Don't hesitate to send Hermione and I an owl over the summer" I gave him a quick pat on the shoulder before heading downstairs with my truck

I said my goodbyes to Dean and Seamus before the left, now I was just waiting for Hermione. When she walked down with her stuff I saw how red her eyes were. She was crying.

"Hermione are you okay?" I asked her

"Yeah I was just saying goodbye to the girls. I'm really going to miss them. They are the only girls who have been nice to me, so it will be strange to be away from them this summer. But I have you, so I guess it won't be too bad" I pulled her in for another hug before we got interrupted by the twins

"We just wanted to say goodbye before we leave. Don't try to miss us to much...." Fred starts to say

"And don't get caught snogging by the parents...."

"But that won't happen because...."

"They have no magic to hide them" George

I was actually going to miss those two. I had trouble keeping up with them sometimes, but they always made me laugh. I felt myself starting to blush when they talked about snogging. I don't think I feel that way for Hermione, she is my best friend. But maybe? I mean we are close, we hug a lot, and we hold hands all the time. She probably doesn't have thoughts like this.

"Goodbye you guys. See you in a few months. Try to stay out of trouble this summer" Hermione told them, but that was impossible for them

"See you in a few months. Our baby sister will be starting next year, hopefully she won't become a Slytherin like that child who was formally our brother" Fred says before they both walk out

"Well hopefully their little sister isn't like Ron. Now we should go. I still want to say goodbye to Hagrid before we go" Hermione says grabbing her trunk

We made our way to Hagrid's hut one last time and said our goodbyes. We stayed until he stopped crying. Afterwards we went straight to the platform where the train was waiting. I placed our luggage on the train and Hedwig, then we took our seats.

We decided to start our summer homework, so we could be ahead and have more time for fun this summer. I couldn't wait for summer, Hermione promised to teach my how to swim and all the fun summer activities I never got to enjoy. My mind stopped focusing on the homework when I felt the train starting to move.

"Well here we go. See you in a few months Hogwarts" I heard Hermione whisper looking out the window

I placed my arm around her shoulders and watched with her. I was really going to miss this place.

It was a few hours until we reached the platform. I missed Emma and Dan a lot, and I know Hermione did as well. We put our finished homework always and made our way to the back of the train to get our luggage. We said our goodbyes to our friends one last time before looking around for her parents.

"Daddy!" I heard Hermione yell running over to him

I made my way over to them only to be engulfed in a hug my Emma.

"Oh we missed you two so much. It's just not the same when you're not home" Emma says starting to cry

"Don't worry, you're stuck with us for a few months" I told her

We gathered up our stuff and started to move to the car.

They said welcome home, but we weren't going home. I think we just left home. I looked at the train one last time before grabbing my trunk and catching up with Hermione

It's been a good year.

I am so sorry for not updating. But I have a good reason. In exactly one week, I am graduating high school. I've been working my ass off this week making sure I can graduate on time. So I have been working so hard on my schoolwork so I end the year with good grades. Thank you all for your patience. Next chapter will be the start of summer. Please enjoy ❤️
