Chapter 1: your worst nightmare

It was karaoke night and Kara couldn't resist the urge to go. She went alone hopping to take someone home that night because she felt lonely. She wore jeans and a white shirt with a leather jacket over it. She sprayed her favorite perfume on her which made her smell like flowers. She was finally ready.

When she got to the bar she immediately found the bar and ordered a drink which in her case was whiskey
"Mind if I accompany you?" A soft voice said and she turned around to see a beautiful brunette with green eyes starring at her
"Holy shit"

"You are gorgeous..." she said waiting for her to say her name
"Lena, Lena Luthor" the new lady said as she held her hand out and Kara shook her hand
"I'm Kara Danvers and I must say your eyes are so beautiful"

"So how many drinks have you had?" Kara asked

Flashback
Kara and mon el have been dating for 1 year now and mon el asked Kara to move in with him, of course she said yes because she loves him. One day mon el came home from his job he just got fired at and was upset that was his dream job, he was so so angry.

Kara got home from work and found him sitting and the couch with his hands in his hair
"Hey baby what's wrong" she asked him softly
"I got fired"
"We can get you another job don't worry"
"No we can't! That was my dream and they took it from me!" Mom el began to yell at Kara and she was so scared that she started crying

This went on for about 4 months and Kara covered it up since the beginning, until one day when mon el came home with a gun. He was showing Kara it when he loaded it teaching Kara but then he put the gun to her head

"Really?" Kara said
"Yeah, What song?" Lena asked but Kara didn't answer but instead was looking in fear at a man who was approaching them
"Who is that?" Lena asked in a whisper
"Mon el" Kara said whispering to lena

"Hey you come here" he said
"No"
"Come her now" mon el said while grabbing her wrist and Kara pulled back but he had a hard grip on her, Lena stepped in
"Who are you?" He asked
"I'm about to be your worst nightmare" Lena said while punching mon el in the face with a right hook and then pulling him out of the bar
"Not in front of the lady" she said
When they got outside she punched him multiple times in the face until he was knocked out and Lenas knuckles were bleeding. She walked back into the bar to find Kara wasn't where she was before so she went to check in the women's bathroom
"Kara are you in her?" She asked and she hear soft crying coming from a stall
"Kara?" She asked while opening the stall she heard crying in and saw her crying
"Kara I handled him you don't have to worry anymore I will protect you"
"Why? You just met me" Kara said weakly
"I know that's why I get to know you more while I protect you"
"I don't even know how he found me I moved across the city and he found me in a bar"
"Let's get you home" Lena said while picking Kara up and holding her bridal style, Kara buried her head in Lena's chest as Lena carried her to her car
"Where do you live love?"

When lena pulled up to Kara's apartment she got out and ran over to Kara's side just to pick her up again Kara chuckled lightly and gave lena the key to her apartment. When they got into her apartment lena sat kara down on the couch and started to walk away but was stopped but someone grabbing her hand
"Stay... please" Kara said and Lena nodded and sat next to kara and pulled Kara to her chest where Kara fell asleep, when lena was sure Kara was sleeping she put Kara in her bed and wrote her a note then left.

*karas pov*
I woke up in my bed with burning eyes because I cried myself to sleep. I walked into the kitchen to find a note which said
Dear Kara,
I'm really sorry about last night and I promise to make it up to you and the next time you go to the bar I'll sing with you. Here is my number and address, I'm off work today so you can come over anytime you want if you would like

*at 12:00*
I put on a yellow dress that come out at the bottom, I put my hair up and my glasses on. I walked to the new Chinese place and pick up some food and started walking to lenas house.

When I got to Lenas house I knocked on the door that was soon answered by Lena who by the way looked gorgeous
"Hey" Lena said but I couldn't talk she looked breathtaking
"Kara?"
"Right sorry it's just wow you look breathtaking"
"Thank you and I must say that dress brings out your eyes" Lena says and I blush
"I um I brought food" Kara say while holding to bag of food up
"Darn I thought you were going to be the food" Lena said and we both laugh
"Well maybe if you are good you'll get dessert" I said while smirking
"I'll be extra good!" Lena said enthusiastically
