Cadence's POV

[ "Princess we have arrived"]

I stood in front of the tall doors that oversized me by bounds

I had never felt as tiny as I did at this moment

What occurs after I enter these doors could be the deciding of my fate...

I took one last deep breath

Here goes nothing...

[ "Please open the doors" ]

I asked Anne slightly hesitantly

Perhaps I should've just taken that chance to run and hide as far as possible

Well I can only regret now

[ "Welcome, Princess Cadence" ]

A kind looking elderly man greeted me

[ "I am his majesty's personal butler. You may call me Alfred" ]

[ "Now would you please follow me as I lead the way" ]

I obediently followed Alfred as Anne walked behind me

It did not take long for us to arrive at the dinner table

The table was filled to the brim with beautiful, aromatic dishes but I was much too nervous to think about my hunger

I had to be careful, one mistake and this could be the end of me

Alfred pulled a chair out

[ "Your royal highness, if you please" ]

I sat down and smiled at Alfred

[ "Thank you" ]

[ "It is my pleasure, your highness" ]

[ "Oh looks like you are already here?" ]

I turned the other direction to see none other than the emperor standing there

[ "So hungry you couldn't even wait?" ]

Hearing his teasing tone made me clench my teeth

[ "I-it is Cadence's blessing to be able to dine with Father!" ]

Oh Father if you really do have a heart, please have mercy on my poor soul and spare me

[ "Hm..." ]

The emperor sat down at the head of the table looking as intimidating and arrogant as ever

My head unconsciously looked down when I noticed his chilling red eyes staring at me

I couldn't help but shiver

What was he thinking? I was too afraid to look back up at hin

[ "You.... why are you so frightened? Am I really that scary?.." ]

His sudden question caused me to jump in surprise

[ "Ah! N-no of course not, I... I am just a bit cold!" ]

[ "Hm is that so?" ]

The emperor clicked his fingers and the fireplace instantly lit up, giving the room a cozy glow and warmth

W-wow! Magic is incredible!

[ "U-um thank you..." ]

I hear a laugh come from a deep chilling voice

[ "Even such a measly trick like this impresses you?" ]

[ "It's not like I did it for you... this emperor just felt it was too cold in here.." ]
