Between dress fittings and everything else, Renata never realised how much went into planning a wedding, even if one claimed they wanted it to be rather small. And James was of little help sometimes, simply because he would tell Renata to do whatever made her happy. She didn't want all the decisions to be left up to her though, after all, it wasn't just her wedding, it was James' too. Fortunately, she could always redirect questions to James and then proceed to hide, whether it was going to her restaurant to see how things were fairing in her absence or taking Harry out on long walks.

James caught on quickly that it was easy to become overwhelmed when all the questions and decisions were left to one person but in reality, it just seemed like a lot of extra stuff added that they didn't need. He didn't care who sat where during the ceremony as long as they were there, he didn't care what anyone wore as long as they were dressed, and he didn't care much about anything else besides the idea of marrying the woman he loved.

With that, they just happened to set the date of getting married whenever Sirius finished Renata's dress. There wasn't really a better time in their heads to get married, they didn't care about the month or the day, just as long as they were both ready.

James was ready, he knew that very well, even just from his dreams alone. Nearly every night, he had a dream about the wedding, how envisioned it to be or he would dream about the married life with Renata. It wasn't much different from the life they were living now, except there was a ring on her finger and when they had conversations with other people, James referred to her as his wife. That was something that left him relatively giddy in the mornings, enough that Renata swore he woke up with a smile on his face most days.

That particular morning, James had woken from a dream where he found himself enjoying a relaxing afternoon by the fireplace. Renata was curled into his side, reading a children's book out loud, going through her usual style of making silly faces and all sorts of voices for the characters. He had one arm draped over her shoulders, playing with a lock of her hair when she made a snorting noise that warranted laughter.

Peering down to the floor, there was Harry, older now and in his lap was a toddler, happily clapping her hands and laughing along with the silly actions. Harry was seemingly enjoying himself too, laughing along as well. And for a moment, James could only stare at the scene of having a bigger family, an additional child probably didn't seem like much, but to him it was. Growing up as an only child, he had been spoiled, there was no denying that, but often times, he found himself feeling rather lonely.

He certainly didn't want that for Harry and even though his son had friends who would probably grow up to be like family, it certainly wouldn't hurt to add a sibling to the mix. He liked the idea of it, but it would have to be something that he ran by Renata when the time was right.

"James? James, hello?"

Stirred from his happy slumber, James woke with a start as Renata continued to nudge his side. He was ripped away from his dream family and found Renata looking down at him in concern as she was sitting up in bed.
