"For what in your life do you feel most grateful?"
"What is it, as we go further down the line, the questions get more complicated to answer?" Dean guessed.
"Probably," Cas agreed. "This is a hard one."
"Not for me," Dean shrugged. "Winter and locks on bathroom doors."
"That's....creative."
"It's true."
"Can I ask why?"
"Uh," Dean sighed. "Winter because it's cold out, and so I get to wear leather jackets and long comfy clothes without getting too warm. And lock on bathroom doors because it keeps you in, and everybody else out. Gives you privacy and protection."
"Never though I'd hear a lock on a bathroom door being described as a way of protection."
"Yeah, well, then you obviously haven't been to my house." Dean said sharply. "What about you?"
"I guess I feel grateful for my family," Cas admitted. "My dad and my siblings, that is. They can be jerks sometimes, but they're always looking out for me and I love them."
"1/10. Very cliche answer."
"Well I'm sorry I don't feel as grateful for winter as you do. I'm the one that has to shovel the snow off the roof."
