Tuesday, December 8

4 days after my 20th birthday and here I am back in a doctors office

"Remember, all you have to do is keep your stress levels down. You've been doing good so far but I'm gonna need you to take it more seriously now miss broooks"

I nodded and looked down at the papers in my hand, reading the prescriptions he prescribed for me.

"I gotcha. Thank you"

"Anytime. And I'll see you next month, and I want that blood pressure to be better than it was today" he told me with a chuckle and I laughed a little, leaving out of the room. I sighed deeply and exited the doctors office. My phone immediately started ringing as I unlocked the doors to kentrell's car and got in the drivers seat.

His car was was blocking mine this morning and he was too lazy to move it so surprisingly he let me drive it. I answered the phone while putting my seatbelt on and started the car

"Hello?"

"AYE!" Kentrell yelled into the phone as he crunched on something. I held a stank look on my face

"What? And why you so loud? Whatchu eating?"

"Don't worry about it. Where you at?"

"Leaving the doctors office"

"The doctors office? Why you up there?"

"Babe I told you I had a doctors appointment. They wanted to check and make sure my stress levels weren't high" I reminded him as I exited the parking lot and headed down the road and he started Whatever he was eating again

"Oh. Well hurry up. I gotta make a run"

"Why you ain't just use my car?"

He smacked his lips and I rolled my eyes, knowing he was gonna say some slick shit

"Why ima drive yo shit when I got my own car"

Well maybe if you moved your car when I asked this morning you'd have it now.

"Whatever Kentrell. I'm on the way"

He muttered something before hanging up and I sat my phone down then continued to drive. I looked at the gas light and saw he had 1/4 of a tank of gas left and I don't feel like hearing him complain about me burning his gas so I stopped by the nearest gas station. As I pulled up to a pump, I noticed a group of boys hanging around at the one adjacent to mine causing me to roll my eyes.

I grabbed my wallet and got out of the car, hearing their conversation die down.

"Damn, wassup li baby"

I ignored whoever that was and headed into the store. After I paid for the gas, I went back to the car and saw that they were still outside. While I started to pump the gas one of the boys walked over to me rubbing his hands together
