Disclaimer: I have attempted to write a paragraph in ancient Norse in this chapter. I want you to know that I do not know Norse, neither can I promise that what I have written is correct. I have used different sites, lists and translations to write this and simply liked the way it looked.
Thank you for reading!

The bodies were still there. The blood, too.
It reminded me of how it felt to have the liquid crawling through my skin, black as ink.

There was one single man who attempted to move those who were only knocked out. He slowly dragged them by their feet towards a cell that hadn't been destroyed, but I could see worry etched into his features. There was something bigger going on, and all he seemed to want was to go against orders and help.

The task was tiring to even watch. Check for a pulse, search for a weapon and remove it, check for injuries, and move the body. Getting the prisoners up to the higher laying cell formed an even bigger task. Watching him struggle and curse was almost funny. It looked like one of those behind the scenes things, where all the actors had left the studio and the clean-up guy was doing his job, all alone.

And Loki was reading again. Nothing new there.

"You think quite a lot."
Just as my eyes passed him, he spoke.
"It's exhausting."

I decided to leave his mockery for what it was.
"What are you reading?"
I instead asked.

"You wouldn't be able to understand."
Was his answer.
"It's written in Norse."

"Well, what is it about?"

"Many different things."

I groaned. He was frustrating.

"Don't continue asking questions if the replies do not please you."
His voice echoed in my head. I gave him a look.
I thought my mind exhausted you?

"It does."
He said.

"Well, you exhaust me too."

"Do I now?"
His eyes searched mine, looking for something.

"Yes."
I scoffed.

For a second, our eyes just lingered on each other.

"Spells."
Loki then said.
"I usually read about spells."

I thought about that for a second.
"Do you have a lot of that here? Magic... And such?"

He chuckled at my tone.
"Most of it is just technology."
He shared.
"Like the Bifrost, or Asgard's air defense system. Though there are quite a few unexplainable things, even with the advanced mechanisms and knowledge they have."
