Tony POV
after my talk with Maisie, I took her to the main room sitting her on the couch I sat next to her, as we talked until it started to get late, and seen that she fell asleep her head against my arm, I smile down at her picking her up taking her to one of the spare rooms, just until I can set up a room for her It's down the hall from my room.
after tucking her in and slowly shutting the door.
"Jarvis let me know when she wakes up." I said
"Of course sir" he said
I walked down to the elevator hitting the button as I exit the elevator I see everyone sitting around Steve the twins Nat and Clint Thor Banner was probably in the lab.
"Hey where have you been?" Steve said looking up from the paper he was reading
"Busy." I said
"well if your not to busy now we have a problem." Fury said walking in
"what's wrong?" I asked
"Someone is abducting kids off the street and out of their beds" Fury said
"we suspect it could be HYDRA" Fury said
"what?" I said baffled
Maisie POV
Nightmare
"you ungrateful little brat!" Greta yelled at me as I accidentally dropped a glass plate making it shatter
she grabbed me by the hair then threw me down the stairs I stumbled and tumbled down the stairs once I stood up she picked me up and threw me inside a chest freezer
"No!! NO!! let me out!!" I said as I banged my fists against the lid
End Nightmare
I shot up covered in sweat my breath ragged
"Lizzy what time is it?" I said through breaths
"2:30AM ma'am" She said
"Great" I muttered
I got out of bed starting to walk down the dark hallway
Tony POV
as I was talking to everyone about this case
"Sir Maisie seems to be up and about." Jarvis said
I look at my watch 2:30AM
"What the hell is she doing awake at this time?" I mumbled
"Whose Maisie?" Steve asked everyone looked at me
"Don't worry about it" I said standing up walking out
I ride the elevator to the top floor where Maisie was I start to look for her and find her wondering around the hallway with her arm still in the sling
I picked her up from behind
"what are you doing up at this hour?" I said carrying her back to the spare room
"I'm not tired, and how come you are awake?" Maisie asked looking at me with her puppy eyes
"come on you have to be tired you've been up all day and late night and I'm an adult I'm allowed to be up late." I said smirking
walking us into the spare room and laying her back in the bed taking off her sling
"Now try and get some sleep tomorrow their are some people I would like you to meet and we need to go clothing shopping." I said smiling down at her
she nodded batting her long eyelashes at me
"Goodnight Maisie" I said kissing her forehead
she nodded I could tell she wanted to ask me something but then decided not to I decided not to push her I walked out slowly closing the door.
"how is she?" Pepper asked me making me jump
"fine just was wondering around at odd hours of the night" I said
she smiled
"you should get some rest too Tony you have a meeting with the avengers in the morning" Pepper said
I nodded waling down the hallway to my room to get some sleep
