We all waited patiently for miracle to come out of surgery before we knew it the whole crew was here
"Where is my baby" a thick Nigerian woman came up to tay
"She is in surgery ma she should be out soon" tay Hugged her as the lady began to cry
"What about the baby" the lady asked
"There is no baby not anymore ma she had a miscarriage" tay informed making the lady cry even harder
"I prayed for a healthy baby I prayed really hard for a healthy baby" the lady cried harder she grabbed the man behind her hand walking out the hospital
"This is all your fault you know"tay snapped
"Not the time tay" Cassie pulled her tay only yanked away from her
"Then when is the time he had been nothing but toxic waste in miracle life but everyone wants to sit around like this shit cool my best friend just lost her child up until he showed the fuck up the baby was perfect"
"That was my damn child tay"
"You already have a child news flash that right there was her only sense of reality you have already broke her damn what the fuck else could you have possibly wanted" She snapped I only looked at her we all sat in silence I wanted miracle to be okay I watched as Dino headed to me
"Everybody hates me man"
"It gone get ugly before it get better and sometimes it gets real ugly but it doesn't storm forever" he patted my back and gave me the hug I didn't know I needed and as if on cue I began to cry this was my child too I felt everything in my break down I could only feel at fault for this if I would have just stayed away from her the baby would be good but how can me as a man walk away from my child I just kept crying it felt like I had been holding this in for a long ass time the nurses ran out to the waiting room where everyone sat and waited
"The baby alive" the lady announced making everyone
"All praises to Allah" miracle mother cried I jumped up
"What are you talking about" I asked
"Well the baby was loosing oxygen due to stress and the cord was also wrapped around his neck but we got to him just in time now he is three months before his due date so until the baby is well and full term we can't send him home but he seems to be okay" she explained and everyone clapped in joy I could hardly breathe
"Did you say he" tay screamed
"Yes ma'am it a little baby boy" she smiled and it felt like my heart stopped miracle had given birth to my first son I couldn't even think straight right now so many emotion was going through my head I ya to sit down
"When can we see them" her mother asked
"Only the father can come up at the moment but maybe tomorrow" she told her she nodded Dino pushed me towards the doctor in shocked she looked at me
"Your the father" she asked confused
"Yeah that my best friend"
"Ohhh kayyy follow me"
The closer we got to the door it felt like my heart was beating outside of my chest and I was trying to breath but I was really about to see my son was all I could think of she open that door and instructed me on what to do he was so little and fragile I stuck my hand in the glove thing and he instantly grabbed my finger
"I'll leave you alone" she mumbled once I heard the doors closed I instantly let tears drop I felt like it was my fault that he was here but I promise that I would never put him in harms way again ever I would die before I let that happen I sat in the chair beside the incubator not letting his little hand go and we both slowly drifted off to sleep
2 weeks later...
I literally spend everyday all day up at this hospital I write up here listen to beats up here everything the only time I leave is to go shower then eat I have Dino trade spots with me when I leave as for miracle she still has yet to see the baby she hasn't visited or called we haven't even named the baby yet I didn't want to name him without her but time was winding down and today was the last day
"Yooooo" Dino walked in with tay behind him
"Wussup where miracle"
"At home" tay whispered sticking her hand in the thing playing with the baby
"She does know this the last day to name the baby right" I told them
"We told her she just need some time" Dino tried to explain i side eye him
"She said you can name him" tay mumbled
"You sure" I asked surprised at that answer
"Yeah so what are you going to name him"
"Royal David east" I told them
"We got to come up with a better middle name" Dino laughed
"Royal nova east" tay intervene
"I love that yo where you get nova from"
"that's what miracle wanted to name the baby we talked about baby names you know" tay said it sounded as if she was about to cry
"You okay tay"
"Yeah I just miss my bestie" she mumbled wiping her falling tears Dino went to hug her I didn't want to hug her because of our current friendship status but it's like i couldn't help so I gave her a hug
"Things are going to go back to normal before you know it" I told her she just smiled
"You May be a suck ass boyfriend to my friend but I know your going to be a damn good father to your kids" tay told me making me smile
"I'll try my damn hardest" I mumbled the lady came in and I signed the birth certificate and everything got all of that handled everyone left the hospital as always I texted miracle
Me:I would love for you to come see your son he had your eyes we love you we name him royal nova east I just hope you feel better
