EXT. MARTIN HOME – DAY

POV OF THE MARTINS' HOME SECURITY CAMERA

Abram arrives in his car.

SUPERIMPOSE: The MAGICIANS

Abram honks the horn. No Flynn. He honks twice. Still no Flynn. He shuts off the engine and gets out.

EXT. MARTIN HOME – DAY

POV OF THE MARTINS' FRONT DOOR CAMERA

Abram knocks on the door. Waits. The door opens. Mr. Martin steps out.

MR. MARTIN

Oh. It's you.

ABRAM

Is Flynn home?

MR. MARTIN

Flynn's grounded. Come back in a week. Or don't.

The door shuts in Abram's face. He's just standing there trying to process this.

EXT. MARTIN HOME/ INT. ABRAM'S CAR – DAY

POV OF FLYNN'S HACKED TABLET CAMERA

We're moving closer to Abram's car. Abram's sitting inside, calculating his next move. Flynn knocks on the window. Abram's confused. He unlocks the door. Flynn gets in, turning the tablet around so that we see him and Abram now.

ABRAM

Are you out on bail?

FLYNN

I snuck out the window.

He straps up. Abram starts the car.

ABRAM

I don't know whether to be impressed, or guilty that I'm rubbing off on you.

FLYNN

I didn't want to let you guys down. We should go.

Abram drives off as Flynn uses his tablet.

ABRAM

Your parents ground you, but they let you keep your devices?

FLYNN

They took my phone and my laptop. They always forget about the tablet. Can we make a quick stop?

INT. SAM'S JEWELERY – DAY

POV OF STORE SECURITY CAMERA

We see Abram and Flynn from behind a jewelry display case. Flynn's holding a replica of Clarke's ring on a chain.

FLYNN

Do you think she'll notice?

ABRAM

That it looks nothing like the ring she paid for? No, Flynn. She won't suspect a thing.

FLYNN

This is only temporary until I get the replacement I ordered.
