-you literally live 20 steps away from me

end of call

"you excited" i say hopping into johnny's car "no, but you should be" he smirks turning out of my driveway "i am" i shrug my shoulder confused at what he had meant

"just letting you know that you missed the turn to the suit shop" he smiles back at me through the rear view mirror "are you gonna kill me" i say seriously

"definitely not. but i do have a surprise for you" he laughs

after a long car trip

"ok where here" we pull up to a empty parking lot over looking over a beach

"i still think your gonna kill me" i say following his directions and following him over onto the beach

"why are we here"

"you'll see"

we walk for a good 5 minutes before he stops in front of a house opposite the beach

"this is why we're here" he says pointing to the house
i confusingly look at him waiting for him to tell me why were actually here

"lauren and i rented it for the next 3 days" he grabs my hand and pulls me inside the house

"finally"
i hear a familiar voice say

i look around and see lauren, annie, hayden and william sitting on the couch adjacent to me

"wait i'm so confused right now"

"what's there to be confused about"
lauren says walking up stairs as i follow her

"well i had planned that johnny and i were going to go suit shopping for him and now we're at a random beach house and he said we're staying here for the next 3 days"

"yes"
lauren simply responds showing me around

"what about school" i ask

"what about school"
annie responds following closely behind us

they both show me around the beautiful house "so here's where you and johnny are sleeping" lauren says opening one of the last doors in the house

"why are johnny and i sharing"

"johnny insisted you two sleep together" i look over at lauren and raise my eyebrows "seriously"

"no, lauren invited william and there gonna sleep in the same room and there's only double and queen beds here" annie says

"why can't annie and i share"

"she has a little fling going on with hayden"
lauren admits

"and the boys don't want to share" annie says changing the reason

"ugh" i sit down on the bed gazing outside the window at the stunning view "i don't have any clothes" i realise

"i guess johnny didn't think that far ahead" lauren rolls her eyes

"it's ok you can borrow some of mine"
annie smiles

"thanks annikins"

later that afternoon

after unpacking, the stuff that i didn't have, we sat outside admiring the view thinking of what to do next

"we could go scuba diving"
annie suggests

"possibly"
lauren answers

"wait i got it, we can go surfing"
hayden exciting says jumping up from his chair

"oh yeah there is a surf board rental place down the road" johnny adds on

"um, that's to scary for me"
i say

"come on kenzie it'll be fun, johnny can teach you"
lauren says rubbing her shoulder on mine

"i'll do it if you do it annie"

"oh i was planning on doing anyways"
she says stopping her daydreaming

"wel-"

"no, no backing out it's so late"
lauren says grabbing my hand a pulling me with the group who is walking to the rental place

"this is going to be so fun"
i sarcastically say

"that's the spirit kenz"
johnny says skipping along next to me

these last couple chapters have been so bad and i'm
really sorry for it but the next ones will hopefully be better 🥺🤗💘
