2019
Nikki sat down at the chair, opposite to the interviewer. He was clearly nervous, this would be the first time he had spoken about Lynn in an interview since her passing.

Still, he wanted to do it to get some sense of closure, he had moved on in life but still failed to get over the heartbreak her death caused.

"So Nikki, this year marks twenty eight years since the passing of your ex-girlfriend and lead singer of popular 90s band Howlin' Chain's Lynn Heath" the interviewer began to speak.

"Yeah, it's crazy to think it's been that long" Nikki took a sip of his water.

"Some would describe your relationship as toxic, would you agree?"

Nikki gulped at the forwardness of the interviewer "Uh, well people only assume that" he cleared his throat, "If they had seen the inside they would have realised we were two very similar people who loved each other, the problem was we were both as crazy as each other"

Nikki let out a slight chuckle and reminisced over fond memories the pair shared.

"What do you think made Howlin' Chains debut and only album 'Teen Idol' a success?"

"It's a great album, Lynn treated it like her baby, she worked day and night in that album" he paused, "I remember the amount of times i'd wake up alone to find she'd gone to the studio to finish a song up or something" he gave a small laugh as he remembered, "And she would leave me notes in her scribbly writing, god you could barely read it, but yeah she was a perfectionist"

Nikki pushed his sunglasses up a bit to hide the tears forming.

"You spent arguably the most time with Lynn close to her death, what were those times like?"

"We spent most of them high admittedly, we'd smoke and drink and just laze around naked in her tiny apartment"

"Funnily enough the times we shared in that flat were some of the best times in my life" Nikki sighed, "But she was a damaged person, she was insecure under her confident persona, she rarely let anyone break down her walls of self-protection"

"And you were one of the only to do so?"

"Man I think so, she was just so different, she had so many layers" he sighed, "She was also super smart, damn the amount of times she outsmarted me and the guys, she was a real firelight"

"It was learnt shortly after Lynn's death that she was actually pregnant, how was it like finding that out"

Nikki was shocked by the forward question, but was determined to get as much off his chest as possible.

"Uh, we found out about a month after she died in the autopsy, she didn't know either we think" he steadied his voice, "It shocked me honestly, sometimes I still wonder what could've been if the kid had made it, it would've probably been as crazy as their mother" Nikki chuckled quietly.

"Any concluding thoughts Mr Sixx?" the interviewer closed his notepad.

"I just want people when they listen to Lynn, not to remember her death, just remember her and the way she was"

"Some might find that hard as the new audience missed out on her personality but seriously try not to dwell on her death, I had to take my own advice and now I am finally happy again"

"Thank you for the interview Mr Sixx" the interviewer shook Nikki's hand.

"No problem, I just hope she's not up there cursing me out for any wrong answers" the pair chuckled and Nikki let out a sigh.

"I can tell you really loved her" the interviewer said quietly.

"I did, and I will forever"
