I awoke to the sound of singing and my shower running, taking a random guess that Mom decided to use my shower today. A random gathering of my hair smelt like ice cream and felt sticky, and that was when I made the decision that I should stop waking up in the middle of the night to eat since this wasn't the first occurrence of this happening to me.

"Hey, T," I turned my head to Ashton's voice with wide eyes. "I couldn't find any towels, so I'm kinda just um, air drying..." Water dripped from his hair, landing over his shoulders and trailing down his bare chest.

I screamed. I screamed until Ashton's hand was over my mouth, silencing me. I tightly squeezed my eyes shut and leaned away from his body so I wouldn't feel his skin brush against my legs. What a fantastic time for me not to wear pants to sleep!

"Are you okay, T?" My mom knocked on the thankfully locked door.

I pried Ashton's hand from my mouth, clutching it tightly, hoping to cause some pain that would convince him to just hang out in the bathroom until he was completely dry, "I'm fine mom!" I shouted. "Just saw a...snake!"

"Oh my god, Talia! Unlock the door!" My mom shook the door knob with the mentality that the harder she shook it, the easier it'd open.

"It's okay, I'm going to handle it!" I warned her.

"Are you sure?! I can call maintenance."

"Put it away!" I hissed at Ashton in a whisper, jumping on the bed and grabbing a pillow for self-defense from the snake in my room. I kept my attention to the ceiling...I felt like I was sinning or poisoning my vision by seeing him naked. Satan was probably already setting up a special place for me in hell right next to him, if anything.

"You're blushing!" Ashton giggled loud enough for my mom to hear...purposely.

"Talia?" Mom knocked again and her tone was more serious.

"Mom, I'm okay! I'll be out in a second."

"I'm unlocking the door with a bobby pin!"

"No, mo-" Too fucking late. I wish I could've enjoyed the deer-in-headlights looks we were giving my mom as we stood frozen before her.

"Oh my," Mom brought her hand to her chest. "I'll be going..." She slowly backed out of the bedroom, closing the door.

"You probably just made my mom's biggest dream come true." I threw myself back on the bed, covering my face with the pillow.

"That's me." I felt Ashton's body plop down next to me on the mattress. "Ashton Irwin The Dream Maker."

"I wouldn't be so proud about that." I mumbled behind the pillow.

Ashton retreated back to the place he was staying at to get a few items he would need to get ready for tonight because he planned on getting ready at my place, but by the looks of him placing his body wash in my shower, claiming a drawer for his clothes, and setting his toothbrush in the holder, it looked more like he was moving himself in and thought that I would be perfectly okay with it.

We kept a trend of being too comfortable around each other just like old times and greatly, did the living of old times sting my heart and make my head spin and brew a nauseating feeling in my stomach. Ashton stood in only his boxers in the bathroom shaving and I lied in the messy bed too lazy to put pants on, scrolling through my Twitter timeline because I wasn't in the mood to start getting ready just yet.

Ashton softly sang an Arctic Monkeys song, the tune I recognized to be No. 1 Party Anthem. It took me a lot of power to not let my mind soar back to the night when we first met, when everything was okay. When we didn't have the current circumstances in our ways. When things were easy...

And so, because I wanted to erase those thoughts away, only for the moment, I searched Ashton's name on Twitter, curious to know what people were saying about him...even myself.

"Noelle did such a good job with your suit yesterday. You made it on a best dressed list." I padded to the bathroom, taking a seat on the counter next to where he was.

"Did I really?!" He said a little too excited for his own liking, his eyes visible glistening with happiness for a change. I chuckled.

I read aloud the words to him as he carefully shaved:

Ashton Irwin steps out with Talia Kozma at a pre-VMA party, looking dashing as ever! With a careful eye here at our headquarters, they explained that the Tom Ford suit fit Ashton perfectly. (Can we get an endorsement deal for the guy!?) Being in the presence of Talia Kozma surely has done him some good, he's happier and stylish as ever.

We love how he kept true to himself by keeping his signature bandanna to top off the look. We're appointing Ashton Irwin to the best dressed list of August 2019.

What are your thoughts on this change? Because we absolutely love it!

"I think it's a lovely change." I exaggerated my words, locking my phone and placing it aside.

"Are you trying to tease me?"

"I'm sorry?" I looked at him innocently, because I was innocent, I was just sitting here enjoying the view of this man to my left whilst trying not to give myself completely away.

He wiped the remnants of shaving cream from his face with a towel (One that was in a cupboard he didn't bother looking in earlier). He stood between my legs, resting his hands on either side of my thighs on the counter to lower himself to my eye level, "If I said that I wanted to take you right here on this counter, would you hate me?"

"Yeah," I whispered with our lips mere inches apart. "Something like that."

He gave a breathy laugh, his lips curving into a smirk soon after, "Well, thank goodness I didn't say that."

"Yeah, thank goodness." I repeated to him quietly as he walked back to the bedroom.
