Kavya's Pov:

The rest of the dinner went in uncomfortable silence. I dared not to look at Parth afraid that he might look into me and see that I was lying and hiding a huge thing from all of them. Parth gave me cold shoulder completely ignoring everyone even when Mitali and Aakansha tried to cheer us up. I forced a smile at them but Parth, well, was just being his cold self and was literally on another planet.

After the agonizing dinner got over, I flew to the kitchen to help Mom do the dishes, partly because to avoid Parth. Deep inside me, I still know that he won't ever try to hurt me and our baby, but when I look at him, the fear engulfs me and things get uglier without my control. But I badly want him to know it, it would make me the happiest human in the world if he is willing to welcome the baby into his life and love it even though he doesn't love me the way I want him to.

My love for him just grows and grows every day. He is extremely sweet to me and makes me feel safe and secure. But it is not in his hands anymore, I don't think he can save me from myself anymore, in fact, no one can. I'm beyond repair. I don't care about myself now, all I want to do is keep my baby from any harms, I am ready to do anything for it no matter what it costs me.

"I feel so stupid, dear. We shouldn't have overreacted on our hope. I'm sorry, I feel the way we threw the question at you is wrong.", Mom's voice pulled me back from my train of thoughts.

"Umm...It's okay, Mom. It's not your fault. I can understand.", I said smiling at wiping the wet dishes with a towel.

"And Kavi, I noticed a rare thing today.", she said getting my attention.

I glanced up to see her with a contented smile on her face, "What was that?"

"Parth was so into you, I can literally see it in his eyes. Initially, he wasn't happy with the idea of arranged marriage. But look at where it had led him now. You two are so meant to be with each other, honey. I can see it in both of your eyes.", she raised her eyebrows at the end like she knows what is going on.

"What, Mom?", I frowned.

"Love."

I coughed looking away from her. But she cupped my cheeks making me look at her.

"You two love each other. Maybe you both are in denial, but you can't hide anything from Mom. I know him, I know him from the time he sucked his thumb to the time he became an actor. So what I am trying to say is, maybe now is the time you both should sit down and talk about your feelings."
