Everly

After this morning, I didn't see Elliot again which put me away from the spotlight. After school, I went over to Abby's place. Abby's place is big and spacious. No one was at home when we walked in. We went straight to her room. She only have few hours before her date night, while she took shower and got ready. I read a book from the e-book device that Elliot bought for me and I must say it is very convenient and I am in love with it.

Abby said they are going for dinner at a fancy restaurant and she wanted to dress both formal and informal at the same time, which landed her in a knee length dress. I helped her with her hair and make up.

"You should look for a date." She said and I nodded my head.

She turned around and looked at me, "I am not saying to go for Elliot, but there are some really nice guys out there and you never know."

"I don't know." I sighed. "I don't think I am ready to date."

"Just go for dinner or lunch with someone you are interested in."

I nodded my head and wanted this conversation to end soon. I am very disinterested regarding this topic.

When she was ready, she looked at the mirror and give me two thumbs up.

"I will get going." I said to her.

"I will drop you home."

"Drop the formalities." I said teasing her. "Have a good night." And give her a quick hug.

"Are you sure?" She asked, "I feel bad."

I rolled my eyes, "I am good." I said and waved her goodbye. "Lock the door behind for me, please." As I walked down the stairs.

I had to take a bus ride to get home, I walked in her neighbourhood park. I see some children playing and some parents talking to each other. Once winter rolls by, this place will be empty for a while. I put my hands in my pocket and walked towards the bus stop.

I froze as I see a large dog running towards me and a guy running and trying to catch hold of the dog. The dog sniffed me and I tensed, but once I saw the guy put the leash on the dog, I sighed in relieved.

"I want to apologize for that, it was an accident." He said in a hurry. His platinum blond hair gelled up and his blue eyes looked at me to see my reaction.

I nodded my head and muttered a, "it's fine." And walked passed him.

Upon reaching the bus stop, I see people getting down from the bus and quickly moved, so I do not miss this bus.

I walked back from the bus stop to my house and I realized how cold it is now, compared to this morning.

I took a long shower and dressed up in sweat pants and long sleeves and pulled out my notes to study for a bit. Phillip came home with some fried foods and we discussed our day, he and I are more closer as Barbara is mostly in midnight shifts these days.

"I met your friend in the Jimmy's." He started.

"Which friend?" And it sounded stupid coming from my mouth because for sure Abby didn't go to the fast food place for date.

"Elliot." He said, "The one with British accent."

"Yea and okay?" I said.

"He is popular? All the people seemed to want his attention, especially the girls."

"Yea? He is popular in school." I said.

"You hang out with popular children now?" He asked, surprised.
