Grade 6 is tiring If you are a real 12 years old.

“Girl, are you sure you can do all that in a day?”
The computer shop owner ask.
It has been a very busy day and there are a lot who ask for a typing job.
The computer shop owner wants to reject but Kara agreed to do the job.

Kara has been working in secret and her teaching lesson is earning her a fair sum.
She is happy to earn more just in case she needs it.

“Hello Uncle?”

“Are you at school? Why don’t Mika picking up my call?”

“You fight again? What is it this time?”

“I dunno. She said she saw me with a girl but if it is a girl, could it be you?”

“Uncle? Teacher Mika wont get jealous to see us together.”

“Then, Katherine?”

“Uncle! Teacher Mika knows Mom! She is my advisor last year remember.”

“Who is this woman?”

“I dunno. Just go and see her. You two are going out for 2 months but you always fight. Should you break up?”

“Why would we?! Are you at school too? Ill pick you up.”

“No. Im already at home. I have a lot of typing jo---…I have a lot of homework so I went home as soon as the bell rang.”

“I see. You are working hard. Do you want me to buy you a buko pie on my way there?”

“Uncle! You are going to see teacher Mika, not me!”

“Right! Mika!”

Kara shakes her head and sigh.
She lean on the chair and stare at the computer screen.
Then she grab her phone and dial.

“Hello?”

“Teacher Mika, Uncle called, did you fight?”

Kara heard Teacher Mika giggles.

“Nope. I am just pretending I am mad so he have to pick me up.”

“……cant you just tell him to pick you up?”

“That is very boring.”

“Teacher Mika, please do not play hooky with Uncle.”

“What do you know? This is the privilege of a girlfriend. You will find out when you grow up.”

Kara sigh when she ended the call.
This couple is really high maintenance.

She starts typing.

Tears fell in her eyes one by one.
That guy.
Her ex boyfriend never treats her good.
She doesn’t cry because she still loves him.
She is crying because of how pitiful she was clinging to him.
Loving him cost her, her life.
She wipes the tears.
She wont be as stupid as before.
And does she even loves him?
She is smitten but love? Really?

With a heavy heart, Kara finish her work.
This is nothing.
In her past life she helps her selfish boyfriend in doing office work and makes her very efficient in computer related jobs.

She went to the owner as soon as she is finish.
It is already 7 in the evening.
Her mother is not here and having a dinner date maybe?
Her mother is entertaining Richard and she felt it is just a matter of time before her mother accept him.
This time, her mother is not ill and she doesn’t look like she is going to fell ill that she needs to go to the hospital.
She changes her fate.
It feels fulfilling.

She just delivers the papers in the computer shop when a man came and begs the owner to do a typing job.
He is shaking when he brings out a black notebook.
Kara’s eyes widen.
Isn’t this ‘that’?
A Black notebook! List of criminal names and their associates.
Name, date of transaction and the likes?

Is something like this happened before?
She can ignore it.
Let the course of things happens.
But the computer shop owner is a good guy.
He is a little annoying nagging so much but he is caring and he also has 2 kids who he supported until now.

“Dear Sir, We don’t take typing job.” She said looking at the man.

The man hands pauses from giving the notebook and stare at the little girl.

“I will pay you 15 thousand pesos. You just have to deliver this to somewhere.”

The Computer Owner at first felt very perplex then he looks at the stern little girl face.
He suddenly felt scared.
15 thousand is a huge amount of money.
Even though he wants the money he wont risk himself.

“Sorry. I am not accepting typing job for now.”

The man eyes reddened.
He glare at Kara.
Kara tried remembering if he knows this man.
Then she remembered.
He is one of the men of King!

Gabriel Azure has 5 daughters and she is one of them. She is the youngest.
Gabriel has no son but he has 3 successors.
King, Xian and Felix.
These three outstanding men are her father’s pride.
He cared for them and proud of them.
She thought their role is to compete with them because there is no way Gabriel will let outsider inherit his business but Gabriel never thinks so highly of his daughters.
Later on, they felt extreme hatred from these three men.
King is just like his name.

Someone who cannot be bothered, threaten and shaken.
This man is just a henchmen of King.
How can this trembling and insignificant guy betray such a man that felt like an aristocrat from a different world?
If he betrayed King but she still meets him back then in her past life loitering with the other men of King, does it mean he forgives this man? Or did he not realize he betrayed him?

“What are you staring at?”

The owner shield Kara and urge the man to leave.
The man left.

“Who is that man? Should we call the police?”

“Do not bother. It is better if we have no connection with those kind of people. They obviously not good people.”

The shop owner nods.

That night before she comes home, Kara ring King’s personal number through a pay phone away from her house.

“Hello?”

That enigmatic calm and cold voice is truly from that King!
He never change all 20 years of knowing him.

“A rat sneaks in and trying to steal a cheese. Be careful.”

“What do you---”

Beep.
Beep.

Kara sigh and leave the pay phone but first she make sure to wipe everything she touches.

Why did he helps King?
King is not a friend but he is not an enemy.
And King is very filial to her father.
She walks under the bright light of the stars.
