"We was just chillin, on the way back to her house cause I took them at somethin to eat. Everything was good until we reached a stoplight and the nigga pulled up beside us, rolled they windows down and started shooting" Boomer explained as we sat in the hospital room where Makayla was located
Boomer was grazed on his right arm while Kayla was hit twice, one in her arm and the other in her side. Thankfully Micah was perfectly fine, besides a small cut from the broken glass when the window shattered.
While the boys were still out doing God knows what, Kentrell texted me and told me to go to Boomer at the hospital since I was the only other person that was out. Elena and Kd were both back at school. Liyah was too caught up watching Kaleb for Dana since she now stays at home full time while she commutes to the local community college. Baby Joe was obviously with them and boomer was here. Boomer actually decided to sit a semester out of school so he was just chilling for now
Once he was done getting bandaged up he watched Micah while Kayla had to go into surgery for the bullet in her side. Thankfully it wasn't anything too drastic, however she might have to cruise around in a wheelchair for some time
"That was really fucked up what Judah did! and I hope they get his ass" I told boomer while I shook my head, rocking Kemoni in her car seat as I spoke "Why would he do that?"
"Stupid" boomer mumbled while looking at Micah, who laid beside Kayla as they both slept in the hospital bed. I stopped rocking Kemoni and looked at boomer
"All this time... Judah made it seem like he was the innocent one and the whole time he was treating Kayla like a dog, then he gets mad when she moves on and does something like this. That pathetic..."
"He did so much to this girl and it ain right" he sighed before standing up and walked over to the bed, sitting beside her
The way boomer looked at Makayla, I could tell he genuinely cared for her. He carefully ran his hand across her hair, which the doctors put in a messy ponytail, and just looked at her
Not before long the door to the room swung open and Ben hurried in "where my cousin at?!"
"Hush before you wake everybody up" the mother in me immediately blurted out then I pointed over at Kayla while she laid in the bed.
"What they say?" He asked as he walked over to the bed
"Kayla just got outta surgery about an hour ago but they said she'll be fine, she'll just have to roll around in a wheelchair for a week or two" I explained to him and he looked over at boomer
"You good foo?"
"I'm straight"
Kentrell bee bopped his way into the room with a whole different outfit on than he had earlier, the both of them changed actually
"Way my baby at?" He loudly asked and I gave him a look. I don't know why but for some reason HIS voice was the one to wake Kemoni up.
"Why Kentrell?" I glared at him while she started to cry. I turned the car seat around so she would be facing him and then sat back in my seat "you woke her up, you put her back to sleep"
He bent down and picked her up while I rolled my eyes and looked over at Ben. Even though from what Kentrell said, they was gonna deal with judah, he still didn't look okay. I knew that getting judah back wouldn't make up for all the shit he put Makayla through but I thought it would possibly make Ben feel a little better
"Ben she's good, everything's gonna be good"
"It ain't good" he responded "I'm 'posed to be lookin after Kayla. That's my baby cousin. Fuck!"
