I look around at the extravagant tent, Ron whirling me around the dance floor. Fleur and Bill had been married earlier in the day and now everyone is enjoying the reception.
I ignore the withering looks Molly was trying to discreetly throw my way. Before long, she will have other problems to deal with other than my dancing with her son; she'll be dealing with her defected son.
I smirk at the idea of her and Sirius explaining to the Order how they lost the Golden Trio in a three-day time span. Their cause is heading to its doom without Harry, their puppet.
I think back to the conversations that have led up to Harry leaving with us. He's had his own accidental run-in with some order members that showed him their true colors.
3 days earlier
I was sitting in Harry and Ron's room. Ron and I were trying to think of a way to convince Harry to come with us when Harry bursts into the room.
I jump as the door slams open and hits the wall. Harry storms over to his bed, pure rage across his face.
"What's wrong?" I ask, taken back by the amount of anger radiating off of Harry.
"As if you two don't know," he spits out, "I found out the truth about your precious Order."
"What? What did you find out?" Ron questions, confusion evident on his face. However, I can see the gears turning in his head. Convincing Harry to come with us seemed to no longer be an issue now.
"Dumbledore killed my parents, not Voldemort. My parents had learned something about the Order and were planning on going public about it. They were hiding from Dumbledore, not The Death Eaters."
My mouth drops open, and I can see Ron's eyes widen.
"I can't believe Sirius would go along with that," I mutter.
"He was literally planning your death 2 hours ago. He's obviously deranged," Ron replies, rolling his eyes.
This piques Harry's interest.
"Wait did you say that Sirius was planning on killing Hermione?"
"Yep, he and Molly were plotting to murder me during a battle and were going to blame the Death Eaters," I answer.
"What are you going to do?" Harry asks, apparently over thinking. Ron and I knew the truth about his parents.
"We're leaving after Bill and Fleur's wedding," Ron responds for me.
"Where are you going?"
"The Death Eaters. I may not be safe there, but I'm not any safer here. I have to leave, or they will kill me."
Harry stares at Ron and I, contemplating his options.
"I'm coming with you."
Present day
Once everyone becomes too invested in the party to notice what we're up to, Ron and I escaped up to his room. We start gathering the stuff we need to take and the things Harry wrote down for us to grab.
We put everything into my extended bag. We've packed some things over the last couple days, but Molly would have noticed if too much stuff had gone missing in such a short time span.
After we clear all the essentials from their room, we move onto the room I share with Ginny. I gather clothes, books, and potions, carefully putting everything into my bag.
Once we have everything packed, we make our way back outside. Ron had left his now newly revised and finished letter on his desk. We didn't have long until they figured out where we were.
I watch Ron as he takes a long look at the Burrow and then his family.
"You'll see it again. There are still good people in your family."
"I know 'Mione, it's just hard to leave them."
"I know."
His face falls a little when he remembers that I do know what it feels like, better than others. I obliviated my parents about a month ago, for their own safety.
After tonight, all three of us would be considered orphans. Harry's family has been dead for years because of the Order, Ron will soon be viewed as a traitor, and my parents don't even know I exist.
Ron takes a deep breath and together we walk back into the tent. I see Harry sitting alone at one of the tables, staring sadly at Ginny. She's dancing with Fred, a smile on her face.
"You'll see her again."
"I know. It's only a matter of 'Will she still love me.'"
"We leave in 20 minutes," Ron speaks up, trying to distract Harry.
As soon as the words are out of his mouth, Kingsley's Patronus flies into the room.
"The Ministry has fallen. The Minister of Magic is dead. They are coming."
Panic erupts as Death Eaters apparate in as wedding goers apparate out.
"This is our chance," Ron yells over the chaos.
We join hands and apparate into Knockturn Alley. I navigate the three of us to where I want to be.
"What's our plan now? How do we get to the Death Eaters?" Harry asks, looking uncomfortable by the wizards giving him dark looks.
"Ya Hermione, you said you had something planned, but you wouldn't tell me what," Ron chimes in.
"Well, in third year when you two were being prats over a broom," they have the decency to look guilty,"I made a new friend. You were not informed because you two behave the way you do."
They both try to protest, but one look from me silences them.
"So, I'm going to send him a Patronus message, and you two are going to play nice."
They pout at the inclination that they don't always behave as they should;when they see who my friend is, they will understand why they have to be warned.
I summon my Patronus and give it my message. As I send it off to its destination, I make sure the boys can't hear where it's going. I could give them a warning on who it's going to be, but where's the fun in that?
After a few minutes of waiting and listening to the boys' impatient rumblings, I hear the telltale sound of apparition.
"Are you trying to get me killed, Granger?"
