"You straight?" Boomer asked me as he sat down on the side of the bed while I laid back in it. We just arrived to the cabin for this get away and even though I was out of my wheelchair, my side would still hurt every now and then
I nodded and laid on my left side "I'm good"
"You'on want nothin to eat? Nothin"
I shook my head and he sighed. Every since that shit happened with judah, boomer has been extremely overprotective and he treats me as if I'm crippled
"You know what I want? I want you to lay down with me. Come on" I reached and grabbed his hand, pulling him back onto the bed and he chuckled
"Ion feel like laying down"
"Why not? This is OUR time. At least until my cousin burst into the room to do say some shit like ima child"
"That's why the room door gotta lock in it"
He got up and went over to the door and locked it before walking back to the bed. This time he laid down with me and I grabbed his face, kissing him
"I love you baby"
" I love you too... now Whatchu gone do bout this whole Judah situation?"
I sighed and shrugged. I never thought I would get to this point with somebody I was in love with for years but what judah did was fucked up and whatever happened to him, he deserved it. I just hate that now my son might have to grow up without a father when that was the one thing I've always wanted for my child, especially since I didn't have one
"I honestly don't know and I don't wanna think about it right now. All I wanna think about is me and you.."
"And what the hell noel got planned for this trip. I'm still tryina figure out what made her wanna bring a bunch of black people into the woods. Niggas ain't built for this shit"
I laughed and rolled my eyes
"It's called trying something new. And it was Elena's idea"
"And she just as stupid as Kd yet y'all listened to her"
"Just be glad we ain't sleeping in a tent like she wanted to"
"Sleep in a tent by her damn self" boomer muttered
"Sleeping in a tent ain't that bad. I did it before. The only bad thing is imagine trying to fuck in one of those things" I laughed and boomer looked over at me
"You fucked in a tent before?"
"No! I said imagine. It would probably be so uncomfortable"
"Oh" he chuckled "well we got this big ass bed and a whole week to fuck all we want"
He rolled me back over on my back and climbed on top of me, kissing my neck.
"I can do this all week" I said with a smile and bit down on my lip. There was a hard knock on the door and the both of us smacked our lips
"What?!" Boomer yelled
" y'all better not in they being grown" Ben yelled from the other side of the door. I rolled my eyes and Boomer shook his head

"Ugh I needed this break from school" I exasperated and Kd sat on the side of the bed just looking at me
"Why you looking at me like that?"
"Cause I want to. Next question"
I rolled my eyes and walked into the bathroom, turning on the shower water. Kd's been having an attitude all day for no reason and I really didn't have time for it. If he was gonna act like this then he could've stayed his ass home
