Lemme give you the prologue

Prologue:

It's been a month since Ciara and Miguel met in a prisoner's cell.
Both of them could feel the mate bond and the feeling is way too fantastic.

They claimed each other, marked each other, but couldn't bear a pup of their own for some unknown reasons.

The Alpha and Luna has forbidden them to leave the pack house.
They do not know why their rulers forbade them and they are in no position to ask.

Her mate, Miguel, is a prisoner guard,
while her sole task is simply just to take care of the prisoner held in a cell for code torture, heal and repeat.

There's a lot of prisoners there and she feels sad of their fate.
But they are held captive for a reason.

The prisoner she's been assigned to is suffering psychological breakdown. His reason of being held in such cell is a deep secret.

But what confuses Ciara is the way the prisoner acts in front of her.

His eyes held mysteries and dark promises she couldn't decipher.

He wants to talk to her one time then all of the sudden, he'll snap. He's been blaming her with things she didn't even know.

He'll ask for her forgiveness but then he'll swear to kill her.

He hates her and she doesn't even know why.

Is he someone she knew from the past?

Or someone she musn't know at all?
