"You left me in a darkness I never knew existed. You left me all alone with a burning desire to ruin everything that reminded me of you and sadly that included myself. You broke me and yet I managed to survive, hanging in the edge. Living in a world...
"So when are you gonna ask her out??" I questioned as I placed my cheek on my palm. Not many people were there at the cafe at that hour and that gave us a little breather after an obviously bustling morning. It had been a week since the dinner, a week of work, a week of more interviews and rejections and honestly I was getting tired. It made me feel so worthless and I just wanted my brother and halmoni by my side. But knowing that I was being selfish I just let it slide.
Sungjae gave the last customer her order and turned towards me with a sigh. "I don't know Mi, Mia just seems too complicated, like sometimes I feel like this is going nowhere" his face scrunched up in frustration and with a tint of sadness. I felt bad of him. Mia is a very complicated person, sometimes I see myself in her. She had never been good at expressing her feelings. She was this one person who would always tend to push people who get through her and that's exactly what she's is doing with Sungjae.
"Listen, she is a very confusing girl but she'll come around. Don't give up on her. You know all I can say is that she has a reason but once you manage to get through her it'll be alright. Give her that time and space" I smiled softly "What do you mean by she ha-" I cut him off know what he was about to say. "That's her part to tell Sungjae, trust me, as her best friend I know that she likes you too" I winked at him "You think so??" "Mmm hmm"
Just when he was about to speak the door bell chimed indicating a customer so he both stood up straight. A familiar looking guy walked up to us with a warm smile. I did not notice him until "What can I get for you today sir?" "How about a dinner tonight ?" Confused, I looked up to see the cute waiter from the restaurant right in front of me, flashing me with a cheeky smile. "Hey, you?" I smiled yet confused "Yeah me, so what do you say Hyemi?" He asked me again "How do you know my name though?" "I just do"
Even though I found that weird, I let it be. Thinking about his offer, a date with a cute guy and plus it's with free food. It was a perfect win-win. I smiled at him and nodded "Great! Then I'll pick you up at 7??" "I'll be at home by then" "No worries, gimme me your phone" he said and I did. He typed something in it, which I presumed it to be his number and then he handed it over to me. "Text me your address" he winked and walked away. I chuckled and looked down at my phone 'The cute waiter ' it said
"Aww how cute" I heard a mocking voice behind my shoulder. I flinched, almost dropping my phone. "Asshole" I cussed and elbowed him I groaned in pain and leapt backwards "What the fuck Hyemi? "He clutched his stomach. I just scoffed and turned around.

"Oh no no no no" I backed away, my face twisting in disgust. "What do you know about these?? Just put them on and you'll thank me later" Mia winked at me as she inched closer to me.
There was literally no way in hell I'll wear the piece of cloth that I barely call a dress. I was a short back dress which would only come up to my mid thigh. It had spaghetti straps on it and had a bit low v-neck in the front, with a zipper at the back to finish it off. It was cute, but I didn't think it was 'first-date' certified.
