Kara's P.O.V

Awkward.
I,Pen and Harold ate lunch together but Denver didnt leave his room and shut himself from the outside world.
I realize that Harold is already a second year, one year above our grade.
I tease him if he has a girlfriend and told me that his focus is his swimming career. It seems he had won awards before and he is dead set on becoming a world class swimmer.
I can still remember Marga's selfless devotion to swimming.
I thought back then that swimming is only good for digestion and muscle training.

The old lady who cook us food go home @ 5pm.
We didnt have to worry about food because of her.
Though I can cook I wont busy myself.

Knock. Knock.

"Denver,talk to me." I went with Penelope to talk to Denver.

There is no response.

"Dude, you havent eaten since this morning. Are you a girl?" I said.

The door opened.
"Denver! Let's eat?" Penelope self consciously avert her eyes.

"Im not hungry. I have tons of snacks here." He said. Nor angry,nor hurried.
"Im sorry for saying that to you Mendoza."

"Dont be distant. Your wife is my best friend. Just call me Kara."

The two blushes and I smirk.
Look at them.
So pure and cute.

I left them for themselves.
I find the dedicated Harold on the pool.
He really is tanned.

"What are you looking at?" I ask.
I take off my clothes.
Underneath is my bathing suit.

"I have been seeing that old man loitering around our place since this morning. You think he is lost?"

"You want to help him?" I dip one toe in the pool. Its just warm. I jump and I totally get drench.
"Fuwah! So nice." I exclaim.

"Nah. Maybe he is just new or a relative of the neighbors. Where is Pen and Den?"

"PenDen? Or DenPen? That love team just get together. Let's not disturb two love birds."

"Hahaha. Denver is a very serious guy. As long as he cannot establish himself he felt like he has no right to pursue Pen. Pen is just...A girl inlove."
Harold shrugged his shoulder.

"How about you? You dont have some sweetheart?"
I said while swimming along side Harold.

Harold laughs.
"I actually have someone. A Swimming Goddess. She has a family though and she is 40 now."

"You are into old ladies. I can see your greed."

"No. Ah. Well, It is just a crush. She inspire me. I thought I want to quit Swimming in elementary but she told me that quiters never win. I dunno, I just push hard and I won my first award. Since then, I feel like I owe her alot."

"Thats stupid."

"I guess. Hey, What about you? I heard you are popular in your school."

"To that stupid question." Kara shows him a middle finger.

Harold who is born from a rich family felt shock with Kara's vulgar action.

Kara also thinks she become improper.
"Oh, sorry."

"Ah no. That is..Well, I am honored you are trying to get use to me."
Harold.

"Its just so comfty being with you so I let my guard down."

"Hahah."

We are sharing room even though the house has enough room for everyone cause it felt more like a vacation when you are sharing a room.

"Hey. Sorry Kara. Can you put your phone on vibrate? I always put my phone on vibrate cause I get up from the tiniest sound." Penelope said.

"Really?"

"Yes. The problem is..I dont wake up to anything but a cellphone sound. I dunno."

"Isnt it because you play with your phone so much?"

"Eh? How did you know?"

"Geez."

It started to rain @ 9 pm.
We four play till then.
When lightning and thunder started to disturb us we quit. The two boys went to their room.

"Kara, Ill just go to the kitchen to get us a pitcher of water.
Do you want me to get you anything?"

"Okay. I want some lemon on that water."

"Okay."

I am playing with my phone when Uncle Richard called.
They have been busy with the preparation to the wedding.

"Good evening little girl. It is raining here. How about over there?"

"It is also raining. Theres thunder and lightning." Kara said.

"Hey take a blanket and go to the closet."

"Uncle...Im not really scared of..."

"I know. But...I want you to play along."

"Okay."

I went and take a blanket.
I also think scaring Penelope when she gets back.
I cover myself in the blanket and went to the closet while I leave only a little space tp peek on the door.

"There. I am in." I said softly as I giggles.

"Good. Isnt it feel secure---"

GONG!
A LOUD CRASHING THUNDER.

I also heard a loud screeching scream from Penelope.
My heart felt unsettled.
Then there is a thumping sound outside and the door opened.
It is not Penelope.
A huge man with a mask in his face.
My eyes widen..

"Hello? Hello! Kara? Kara!"

"Shh...Uncle...We actually have a situation here."

"What? What situation? What happened? I heard a huge explosion."

"Calm down Uncle. We actually have some bad guys here. Its either they will rob us or kidnap us."
Theres also kill us but Kara avoid saying that to not further agitate Richard.

"Dont move where ever you are! I will come get you!"

Creakkkk..
Kara face to face see the masked man.

"Sorry Uncle...But in this situation..Bad guys always search first the closet." Kara gulp down and press the end button.

"Hello little girl. Come to Unc--"

Kara experience grab the extended arm and twist it. Then she push all her weight to that arm and fell down intentionally.
Upon the time the man realize what happened kara already get behind him and twist his neck with all her strenght.
Qualms to killing?..Kara never really mind killing for the sake of saving her life.

Kara put down the unmoving man and sigh.

"Damn, I thought I can stay cute for more years."
She said and bite her lower lip.
Her sharp eyes look even threatening.
