Good moments come and go. Bad moments come to overstay.

🦋

Mars Deimos has to hurry back to her home first, then the dorm, so she can't stay overnight at Universe Boarding House.

It's about time for me to celebrate my birthday with Dad.

[You are tired after a journey, aren't you? Just come back tomorrow with them. I will prepare at home to welcome you back,] is what Dad says when I call him

I feel very blessed to have such an understanding Father such as Dad. It makes me feel really happy. So happy that I smile.

Because I make the call inside my room, nobody gets the chance to see my genuinely happy smile.

[Everyone will come, right?] Dad affirms with me

"Yes, everyone. 9 people. Unfortunately, Mars has to return home," I do feel regretful over this matter. Mars hasn't had a chance to participate at my birthday party.

Surely, there will be a chance someday.

[Is it okay for me to prepare the meals as usual for the new people?] Dad has some concern about people's allergies or taboos

"Just as usual," I don't recall either Venus Myrtle or Nebula Spica having problems with the type of food they consume

It takes some time for Dad to talk again. He sounds glad when he says, [Your circle of friends has expanded a lot,]

"En," I simply agree, nodding even though Dad can't see it

[Rest well tonight. Come home tomorrow,] Dad has finished saying his piece, so he decides to end the call

"Goodnight," I return, truthfully adding, "Love you,"

[Love you too,] Dad sounds happy when he replies

It's time for dinner. After a call to Dad, I leave my room and join everyone in the dining room. When counting heads, I count 1 less head. Space is missing.

"Have you called him?" I ask Nebula about his Older Brother

"Brother has gone out," Nebula answers with a sigh, "He left a note at the chatroom,"

Recalling seeing the notification of [We Live In Universe! (Boarding House)] chatroom when I was calling Dad, I open it now and read Space's message.

Space [Got a call from an Old friend. Be back at night]

An Old friend? Does Space still have them?

Sitting down on my seat, I wait for Venus and Cosmos Altarf to serve our dinners. Because Space is absent, Horo Rasalhague takes this chance to sit beside me, taking Space's usual spot.

I spare him only a look and no comment. Horo grins at me.

Scopus Rasalhague sighs, acting benevolent, "Seeing as you were pretty unlucky, I won't make a fuss about this,"

"It's never your turn to talk!" Horo retorts, still feeling sore about his luck

Scopus sticks out a tongue at his Older Twin in retaliation. Galaxy Pollux hasn't sat down yet because he is on a call at the living room. Listening to the respectful words Galaxy uses, I deduce correctly that his Grandfather, Gravity Pollux, is calling him.

Asterism Hamal is sitting at the dining table; while tapping on his smartphone. Pausing in typing, Asterism decides to send a voice message instead, "I told you before, I won't be going back this holiday,"
