Chapter 20

The next morning, Jennie woke up before Jisoo. Jisoo's face looked so peaceful and beautiful under the rays of sun that shone into the room. Jennie smiled and unconsciously leaned foward and gave Jisoo a peck on her forehead. She unwillingly left the bed and went downstairs.

Jennie saw a set of breakfast on the table. She frowned and was looking at the breakfast when a voice came from behind.

"Good morning Jennie" the voice said

It scared Jennie out from her skin, she slowly turned her head back and saw someone she wasn't expecting.

"Mu...mum?" Jennie said

Jennie's mum chuckled and said:

"Yes?"

Jennie patted her chest and asked:

"Why are you here?"

"This is my house Jennie" her mum said

"Right, I mean why are you back?" Jennie said

"Your father needs to settle some issues here so we came back" her mum said

"Where's father?" Jennie asked

"He left just now, but he said we're having a family dinner tonight" her mum said

"Alright" Jennie said

Her mother nodded her head and asked:

"Do we have guests?"

"What do you mean?" Jennie asked

"I saw other car parked outside" her mother said

Jennie thought for a moment and said:

"Should be Lisa's"

"Who's Lisa?" her mother asked

"A friend of mine" Jennie said

"She's staying over?" her mother asked

"Yes, temporarily, is that okay?" Jennie asked

Her mother nodded her head and said:

"Fine with me, one is not too much trouble"

Jennie sheepishly smiled and asked:

"Is three much trouble?"

"What?" her mother asked unbelievably

"Well, Lisa and Rosé were staying over, Jisoo too" Jennie said

"Who's Jisoo" her mother asked

"A friend of mine" Jennie said

"Alright, I won't be staying for long" her mother said

"Thanks" Jennie said

After a moment of silence, Jennie's mother asked:

"So, are you seeing anyone?"

Jennie acted dumb and asked:

"What are you saying?"

"You know what I'm saying" her mother said

Jennie chuckled and said:

"None at the moment, but soon"

Her mother lifted her eyebrows and asked:

"Is he from school"

"From school is correct" Jennie said

Jennie's parents aren't as openminded as the world. Jennie wanted to make sure everything's real and true before telling them about Jisoo.

Jennie sat down and started eating the breakfast. Jennie's mother left before Jennie finished her breakfast, they're really busy. Jennie poured a glass of warm water after finishing her breakfast. She took the water upstairs and woke Jisoo up.
