Cadence's POV

My birthday party has ended and after a great night's rest, it is now the next morning

I had just awoken and started to recall last nights events

Alec and I had gotten into quite a bit of trouble after returning

It turns out that we had created quite the mess for suddenly disappearing and Lady Lena thoroughly lectured the both of us

But despite this I still can't help but not regret anything... how strange...

Oh and that reminds me about that Emperor and Father of mine!

To think that he actually deployed the entire royal knights and guards just to search for me!

Isn't that a bit too excessive? It's practically impossible for intruders to get in with the extremely heavy security and it's not like I would run away from this peaceful, easy going life either!

I mean, I may dislike the social and etiquette part of being a princess, but that's basically it!

From beautiful gowns to delicious meals and a spacious residence, hmph what would I possibly give up all this luxury for?

I am quite happy and content with my current lifestyle and do not wish for anything more than peace and an endless supply of yummy desserts

Also please tell me, what kind of five year old gets gifted a small army for their birthday?!

What the heck am I supposed to do with 100 troops of soldiers?!

I have no knowledge on this sort of thing and do not want it either!

Well whatever, i'm just glad that I managed to convince my Father to change the original number of 1,000 to 100...

Sigh, I am sorry to the pitiful soldiers who basically had their lives gifted to my stupid, stupid self...

You all deserve much much better than this clueless 'owner'

Well whatever, no point on continuing to think about this matter, not like I can convince that stubborn Emperor to change his mind

Let's just forget about that, a new day has begun and it is time to get ready!

I hastily get up and out of my bed before walking towards the bathroom to wash my face

I'm about to begin when I suddenly notice something very strange and pecculiar about my own reflection

I feel my actions suddenly halt as my eyes widen and my mouth makes a large 'O' shape

On my back, were two matching, translucent wings that had a very intricate silver pattern embedded onto them 

A rainbow light seemed to stunningly reflect of off them, as they shone just like a diamond would

They looked to be very delicate and were quite small in size but nonetheless extremely beautiful

I looked at the mirror in both awe and shock

W-what are these?! They're so pretty!

No wait, that's not the point!

These weren't here yesterday, where did they even come from?!

Only fairies and birds are supposed to have these and I'm neither of the two, so tell my why are there wings coming out of my back?!

This doesn't make any sense at all!
