Evelyn's Pov

I lean against the wall outside of the small restaurant that I work at. I dread having to walk home after this long day, but I have no other way of getting home.

"Evelyn, get in."

I turn and see Blayne sitting in a dark, black dodge. Nice truck dude.

"No. I can walk."

"This late at night? Do you really think I'll let you do that?"

I nod as I walk towards my apartment. Blayne follows me down the street as I walk.

"How far is your place?"

I sigh. He won't leave me alone.

"Two miles."

"Get in, Eve."

"No."

"That wasn't a suggestion."

I sigh and stop walking. He stops and unlocks the truck. I climb into the passenger seat and he smiles at me.

"See, that wasn't so hard. Was it?"

"It was soooo hard." I joke.

"Where do you live?" He asks.

I point him in the direction of the apartment building I live in.

"Thanks." I smile.

"It's no big deal."

You know, for someone so annoying, he can be nice. I drift into thought and smile as he drives.

He's actually really nice. What bad boy would offer you a ride home? None. Other than Blayne.

Suddenly, the truck jolts forward and I snap out of my thoughts. I look in front of me and see a boy standing in the headlights.

Wait, that's a familiar little boy.

"Jonah!" I call out.

I jump from the truck and pick him up.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Mommy's gone. And one of Windsor's guys is over. I was looking for you." He quickly explains.

I sigh and place him into the backseat of the truck.

"Who's he?" He points to Blayne.

"The name's Blayne. And yours is?"

He knows, he just wants to make Jo happy.

"Jonah."

"That's an adorable name."

"I'm not adorable. I prefer hot."

I shake my head.

"Well, that is a hot name." Blayne laughs.

He gets to the apartment building and I leap out, grabbing Jonah.

"Thanks, Blayne."
