Connor found himself at the Zen Garden, minutes after bringing you home. The Zen Garden was the safest place Connor would ever find in himself. Due to it's name, Zen, this place is meant to be calm, clean and peaceful. Surrounded by nature, the Zen Garden is where Connor makes his reports to Cyberlife. More specifically, to his supervisor.
The weather was rainy since the android's previous visit to the garden. He was holding a familiar umbrella, and walked up to meet Amanda.
"Hello, Amanda." Connor greeted.
"Connor," Amanda responded, stiff and calm. "I've been expecting you. Would you mind a little walk?" She proposed.
Connor nodded, then opened the black umbrella. They started walking around the garden, quiet for a moment, but still calm.
"Congratulations, Connor" Amanda started, very proud at first. "You managed to find that deviant. Tell me, what did you learn? It's a pity you let it self-destruct..."
Connor didn't want to put too much thought on this. He's the newest, the most efficient prototype Cyberlife has created so far, therefore he should've be bringing that deviant to Cyberlife for deactivation at this point. It wasn't his fault, but he thinks it was. Connor doesn't want to Amanda to think he's not effective enough.
"It claimed that it was innocent," Connor tried to choose his words wisely, he hesitated. "that it didn't do anything wrong... I was confused for a moment... It was a mistake." He changed the subject. "I found it's diary, but it was encrypted... It may take weeks to decipher."
"What else?" Amanda asked.
"The walls on the apartment were covered with drawings of labyrinths and other symbols" He explained. "Like the other deviants, it seemed obsessed with rA9."
"You came very close to capture that deviant..." She said. "How is your relationship with Lieutenant developing?"
"It's improving." Connor stated. "I've come to understand him better and he's growing accustomed to my presence. Also..." He paused for a moment, Amanda was attentive to his next words. "I learned that Lieutenant Anderson has a goddaughter. (Y/N) (L/N). She believes that the labyrinths drawn on the apartment walls may lead the deviants to somewhere else... I particularly think it's a valid hypothesis."
"Oh. So she's a detective too..."
"Actually," He said. "Miss (L/N) was Lieutenant Anderson's former partner four years ago. I don't really know why, but... It seems that she did something wrong and Lieutenant keeps that in cover. Maybe i should dig that deeper..." Amanda suspiciously gazed at him for a moment. "So i can understand them better."
"I see..." Amanda murmured. They walked silently across the white bridge over the small pond, then Amanda stopped. "We don't have much time... Deviancy continues to spread. It's only a matter of time before the media finds out about it. We need to stop this, whatever it takes."
"I will solve this investigation, Amanda." Connor firmly said. "I won't disappoint you."
"A new case just came in..." She said. "Find Anderson and investigate it. You can call (L/N) if you want."
"But... Will Lieutenant agree with that?"
"The more help we get, the better." She coldly responded as she walked away. "Whatever it takes, Connor."
You just got out of a delightful hot shower, you were tired. It was a really long day. You walked down the small corridor and rushed to your room. Finally dressed in your comfy pajamas, you were ready to dig yourself in blankets and watch some episodes of (favorite tv show) until you fall asleep, like you always did.
