Sakura stared blankly at the man in front of her. His hair was greasy and his skin was rather pale giving him the appearance of somebody who hadn't seen the light of day in a long time. His drab robes did nothing for his appearance, simply turning him into a rather intimidating person. Albus stood between Sakura and the man in front of her, a gentle smile on his face. "Sakura Haruno, meet Severus Snape, he is going to be teaching you for the next few weeks. Severus, meet Sakura Haruno." he watched in interest as the two interacted, Sakura had approached him first, "Nice to meet you, please take good care of me." she bowed low to the man, her lessons in etiquette kicking in. Snape smirked at the girl, she was clearly polite and well-mannered, he could work with that. "Good to meet you Sakura, I'm sure it will be a pleasure working with you." Sakura gave the man a full-blown smile as she straightened up. "Let's go." the man turned swiftly, his cape swinging round his feet as it hissed across the cold, cobbled floor before trailing obediently after the man. Sakura bowed quickly to Dumbledore before stumbling after Snape. He seemed like a great man, his emotionless behaviour reminded her vaguely of Kakashi and made her feel a bit more welcome for some reason.

Sakura greatly enjoyed her lessons with Snape, as it turned out, the two got along quite well. Whilst their personalities did sometimes clash, that was probably something that helped them bond even more. In fact, Snape was the first person that Sakura confided in and the first to discover her strange powers. It was their last week together and they'd gone for a trip into the Forbidden Forest to demonstrate her powers. Honestly, it was a complete accident that he found out, a mistake on Sakura's part. They'd approached the water and while Snape had stopped at the edge of the water, Sakura had completely subconsciously began to walk across the water, chakra naturally flowing to her feet and repelling against the water. It only took Sakura a few seconds to realise what she had done, but that was all it took. Snape had seen her 'mystical abilities' and now she had to talk her way out of a very difficult situation.

"So... let me get this straight... you don't use magic, you use a spiritual force called 'chakra' which allows you to manipulate elements, what people see, your physical capabilities, heal others as well as other things and this 'chakra' is activated through a series of hand signs which, when varied, can person a series of different task?" Sakura nodded her head, slightly impressed at his ability to say all that in one sentence. Snape rubbed his forehead in annoyance, he thought that she was going to be easy to deal with but clearly he was mistaken. "Alright, I'll keep this a secret, but I have got to report this back to Albus, understood?" Sakura sighed in annoyance, tempted to give him short-term amnesia in order to make him forget, but with her clumsy body, it would be too risky. That and she'd taken a liking to the old man and didn't really mind him knowing, he'd find out eventually.

"So, what else are you able to do at the moment?" Sakura grinned in excitement, the feeling of pride was overwhelming. Faster than Snape's eyes could process, her right hand had shot into her ninja pouch and a kunai had lodged itself inside one of the large fish in the lake. Snape watched in confusion as the girl withdrew the almost dead creature out of the water. Sakura withdrew the weapon from the fish with practised ease before balancing it precariously on her leg. Her right hand glowed a green colour before the wounds on the fish began to knit themselves together leaving no scar behind. She then carefully returned the fish to the water and Snape watched as the fish continued to swim around as if nothing had happened, to say he was impressed would be an understatement. "That's pretty useful Sakura, why don't you study with Poppy at the infirmary. I'm sure you'd be able to develop your own strengths and experience new things." Sakura grinned up at Snape, she knew she liked him for a reason.

Dumbledore sat in front of Sakura and Snape, a knowing smile on his face. "Interesting Sakura, I'm sure that we could really use your abilities, however, due to your young age, I'm afraid that your presence in the infirmary would not be well received by the ministry. It is, for this reason, you will be working alongside Severus in potions, in case of accidents there. You will, however, be spending the majority of your time with Hagrid. It is with these two members of staff that I feel you will be able to experience new things with the minimal confrontation with higher authority. Will that be okay with you Severus?" The man in question masked his smile as he nodded his head in approval.

Sakura followed after Snape, being careful not to tread on his cape at any point. He dramatically strode into the almost empty great hall, leading the young girl towards the high table. The members of staff who had recently arrived for the new year, looked towards the man, nodding their heads in recognition before turning to look at Sakura. Snape walked over to his seat, Sakura walking confidently after him, she watched as he pointed towards the seat next to his own, "You will be sitting here from now on." Sakura nodded her head in acknowledgement of his instruction before turning to look at the positioning of her seat. She felt herself subconsciously frowning at the fact she was on the end of the table, separated from the next teacher by the bend in the table. Shaking off the disappointment, she took her seat and looked at her plate in confusion as food suddenly appeared on it. She grinned in contentment at the fact she was served a dish consisting of rice and katsu chicken. She could work with this.
