Hindi sana ganito mag-isip pag nag-uumpisa as a writer.

1. No.

Kapag ang pinaka-memorable part of your story came from someone else, then you may have written the words, but it's not completely yours. Wag maging one-hit wonder.

2. Write stories, not twists.

I work in publishing and I can tell when a writer threw in a twist because she/he was bored or didn't know how to end a story. Learn how to write a story.

3. Write characters, not twists.

I love to read and I fall in love with characters, not twists. I will support an author throughout their career because they can write characters I love.

I enjoy twists but I can tell when a writer uses it just to get a reaction. Kung gustong maging writer, then write. Learn about character, setting, plot, conflict. Twists are not as important.
