Sometimes still I become the middle-schooler again, so uncomfortable in her own skin, she must deny herself for the sake of practicality, realism, and survival in such an unnatural capitalist system, and it's a bittersweet feeling, quite tragic in fact, as I watch the truest form of myself cease to exist, suffocated by masks and mirrors, lipstick staining the bottom edges of my teeth.
