It's been a few months
Since the start of high school
But during gym
I was drowning in the pool
*
Not drowning in water
Nor struggling for air
I was drowning in sorrow
Sorrow too heavy to bare
*
Of course the other kids
Were too blind to see
I didn't rely on them
To really care for me
*
I waved you over
I needed to talk
But you didn't see me
You continued to walk
*
For a moment I was
In complete disbelief
My thoughts were stolen
By an invisible thief
*
Then I tried to reason
I must have had it wrong
Surely you would return
I waited very long
*
I guess you were busy
I guess it was my mistake
So I smiled like I was fine
I wish you saw it was fake
