LIANA was oddly excited for the Slug Club dinner party and grinned as she hurried up to her dorm to get ready as soon as her last care of magical creatures lesson had finished. She hadn't been to anything quite like this since the Yule Ball in fourth year, which had definitely had it's ups and downs.

Liana sat in front of the mirror, gazing at her appearance with obvious distaste, her lip pouting as she poked at the large bags of sleep under her eyes and the still healing and bruised lip. Liana had told everyone she had fallen on one of the infamous Hogwarts staircases with a missing stair. But that didn't mean she could ignore everything that had happened with Snape just because no one was asking intrusive questions.

Liana picked up a deep rich burgundy lipstick that sat on the side which most likely belonged to Lavender, who had much more talent at makeup than Liana did. Liana removed the cap and gently dabbed the creamy lipstick onto her lips, trying to make the mottled bruising more disguised and blended. She placed it down with satisfaction at last and took to doing her eye makeup just how she loved: minimal eyeshadow, but thick dark eyeliner both on her lids and her waterline and mascara to showcase her long lashes. Liana waved her wand gently around her hair and smiled as she saw the frizz die away and instead her curls bounce back perfectly around her jaw.

She then flicked through her trunk, trying to find something suitable to wear. No matter how risky she had gotten with her recent outfit choices she didn't want to be flashing Professor Slughorn with anything she'd rather kept private so instead of her usual minuscule dresses, Liana opted for a short skirt. Short, but not dangerously short. On top of that an elegant black corset top, sucking in her waist in all the right places.

She was relatively pleased with how she looked and picked up her wand as she prepared to leave.

"Oh hello- you look gorgeous, where are you off too?" Hermione chuckled, waggling her eyebrows as she walked up the stairs to the dorm and Liana scoffed loudly.

"Slughorn's dinner party, you coming now? Or are you planning to appear fashionably late to avoid talking to Cormac?" Liana smirked and Hermione blushed scarlet and hung her head in shame.

"Fashionably late,"she muttered in response and Liana just laughed as she descended the stairs and began to head in the direction of Slughorn's office.

As she reached the office close to the dungeons, she smiled as she spotted the small details he had added to make it look more appealing than a classroom stuffed full of textbooks and a rickety desk. The door frame was decked out in fairy lights that glimmered with a gentle ambiance and as Liana stuck her head around the door she raised an eyebrow at the impressive candles that floated in the air just above people's heads.
