I'M NEVER GOING ON A DATE AGAIN.
as soon as carson drops me back to the buildings where dorms are, i get out the car and rush to johnny's dorm. i walk in without knocking. i see johnny on his bed on his phone. hayden and brandon are playing fornite in the living room area.
i go into johnny's room and push him so there is some room for me to lay on his bed beside him. i shut my eyes
he laughs "how was the big date?"
"oh god, it was so awkward and there was no spark between us. ugh"
he starts playing with my hair, "there's nothing wrong with him, it's just that i'm not attracted to him at all"
"do you wanna sleep here?" he asks noticing how annoyed i am
"nah"
"do you want me to drive you to chipotle" he stares down at me with his green eyes
i smile "you're sweet john. but no it's okay. i have an early class tomorrow"
i stare off and think how i'm literally never going to find love because i'm so awkward
i stretch and get up, john hugs me without any caution. i obviously don't hug back. he pulls away and puts his hands on my shoulders
"any girl would die for a hug from me"
i roll my eyes and say "shut up"

friday, 7:11pm
as i scroll through instagram i receive a call from johnny. i pick up
"hey"
"greetings my friend" i say and chuckle
"be ready in 30 minutes, wear something casual i'm picking you up."
"huh wear are we going?"
"shut up just be ready"
"but-"
"goodbye" he says and hangs up
son of a bitch. i get my lazy ass up and start getting ready. i wish i had my own car to actually drive to places.
the only ride i have in college is johnny and nadia.
nadia walks into our room. "hey want to go get some ice cream?"
"oh sorry, i can't. johnny is taking me somewhere"
"huh! finally you guys are going on a date" she says and makes a relieved face
"it's not a date, i hate dates now. they are so awkward"
she laughs as she scrolls through her phone. i scoff "i can't believe i'm going to end up alone"
nadia rolls her eyes and says "have you seen yourself kenzie, your so beautiful. don't deny it. i don't understand why you and johnny aren't dating. he's the only guy friend you have."
i stay silent. i've never through of johnny that way. i guess it's because i know he would never like a girl like me.
i get up and start getting ready
