Inosuke laid in between two beds Shinobu provided for the three while they healed after they had an encounter with "spiders" at Natagumo Mountain,
He was in a sad state, feeling weak after being unable to handle the demon on his own.

You really loved his confidence, really just inosuke in all, seeing this was upsetting to you, it was time to make an attempt at making him smile, you remembered he wasn't used to kindness so you thought it'd be cute if you gave him a hug,

You walked over to his bed as the other two were fast asleep

"I'm sorry," "I'm weak." Inosuke said as you came over,

You frowned,

"That's not true, you still have a long way to go inosuke...you'll get stronger and you definitely aren't weak, We see your potential, you're amazing..." you replied reassuringly.

You leant over the bed and wrapped your arms around him while he was laying down, you peered at his gorgeous green eyes in awe.

The dim lighting in the room was enough to see his cheeks light up into a rosy color, it was clear he was fighting his emotions trying to muster a glare only to fail as you pointed this out,

His mouth curved into a smile slowly as you broke the silence

"How about we train in the morning if it'll make you feel better? We can practice what you want" you smiled,

He nodded his head and quietly thanked you, he was flustered as you laid your head against his chest now on the bed other than leaning on it, spoiling him in complements as his cheeks burned a fiery red,

You wanted to tell him how you felt at this moment as everything's going so well now, your heart fast forwarding 100 beats as you felt him finally hug you back, one hand tugging on your hair as you came out of thought,

"Inosuke..." you whispered not wanting to wake up the other two..
"yes..y/n?" He looked away,

"I love you,"

He snapped his head back towards you with a baffled expression, his mouth opened slightly as he said "I.." His face heating up once more,

You smiled, tugging on his left cheek with your pointer finger and thumb,

"I love you too, y/n" he looked down showing his smile that really captured your soul, you wondered how a man could be so gorgeous...

Your thoughts were interrupted as he sat up lifting up your chin bringing your face close to his as he gave you a quick peck on the lips, only to drop back down covering his face in embarrassment,

"Bold?" You laughed, sitting up and giving him a kiss on the forehead.

You laid your head back down on his chest smiling hard, falling asleep not long after he went back to sleep..
