PRESENT DAY

I made my way quickly to the airport to book a flight back to Washington.

Never in my life would I thought I would go back to Washington. Nothing the less, to see John again. It breaks my heart going to see his face. My feelings are just wrapped up into one ball. A ball that won't stop bouncing because it doesn't how to.

Text messages

Cam: Are you on your way ?
Me: Yea I am
Cam: Pleas be on your best behavior
Me: Don't worry I don't tend to break up someone's happiness
Cam: Quit being jealous, that's not what John needs rn, he needs his best friend
Me: I'm pretty sure he has someone who he truly needs, his "girlfriend"
Cam: they aren't even together y/n when will u understand that
Me: You were there when it happened. You heard what John said to me. he's lucky I'm coming over there. Not for him but for you because u want me to.
Cam: Fine ! If that means your coming I'll take it. See u at the hospital.

3 months earlier

Tis was morning, 8 am to be exact. Everyone still asleep. More like hungover. I made my way downstairs to the kitchen to get me some cereal. I poured it into a bowl and left to the living room to watch tv.

It was a very humid morning. The only thing I was wearing was one of John's baggy shirt that hides my shorts.

I sat on the couch and turned on the tv. As doing so, I heard footsteps from upstairs.

Me: Where u going early in the morning John ?

He stood there in silence. Silence that didn't last forever.

John: Going out to the store...
Me: Oh okay then. *smiles*. See you later.

He nodded and made his way out the door.

Does he really think I don't know when he's lying.

I got up from the sofa put my bowl on the counter and left through the back door. I heard johns car leave the garage so it was my cue to get in Johns other car that was parked out front. I got the keys and followed him keeping myself with a low profile.

Why lie to me. Going to the store all dressed up ? Nah fam...

As he reached to his destination I parked a few cars away from him.

Store huh ? Lying ass....what are u up to.

As I saw him exited out his car, a girl came out.

Could've told me you had a girlfriend John.

Girlfriend was the first thought in mind. Probably just an old friend.

Wait...why am I following him ? God I'm fucken crazy...why the hell am I- I'm just gonna head back.

Time skipped

Finally arrived and ready to enter. Before I even got the chance to open the door, Cam came out and saw me.

Cam: Hey where'd u go early in the morning ? We were looking for you.
Me: Umm i went to the store but once I got there I realized that my dumbass left my wallet in the room...

Way to go...

Cam: *light chuckle* Only you. Well imma go take Kendra out to eat breakfast, wanna come ?
Me: No Im okay, don't wanna third wheel...
Cam: Oh that's okay you can bring John.

Riiight. John i dont think he will have the time for that.

Me: No it's fine really. *nods head with a smile*
Cam: Alright. *messes with hair* where is John anyways?
Me: Who knows...i left before everyone woke up.
Cam: Well if John comes after we leave, tell him we went to go eat...probably u guys can meet us there, knowing him but only if he's a hungry boy.
Me: Will do !
Cam: Alright, see u later.

Couple minutes after Cam left John finally arrived.

Me: Let's go.
John: I just got here y/n....where to.
Me: We are going to join Cam and Kendra for breakfast.
John: Oh...well I already got breakfast.
Me: Oh okay..
John: Don't worry we will go tomorrow, I promise. *smiles*.

He got closer to me and gave me a hug. He let go and made his way upstairs back to his room.

Whats going on ?

The rest of the guys came to the living room asking if I wanted to go with them to the movies, I wanted to go but I didn't want to leave John alone. It's not like he needs me or whatever.

Me: Sure why the hell not. Let me get my jacket.

I went back to the guest room and got my things. Before going back downstairs and went to check on John.

Me: *looking down* Hey um John and going to the movies with the guys, I'll be back in a bit.

No answer

Me: John ? *looks up*

I saw Johns head hanging low, in a very sad way. His back facing towards me.

Me: John whats wrong ? *walks towards him* Hey what's-

Before I asked again he shut me up with him hugging me tight.

Me: John, whats going on ?

All I heard was a sniffle. As we were hugging I felt his hand going up to his face to wipe off some tears from his face. He let go and looked at me.

John: So today I found out that my own girlfriend was cheating on me...she told me...didn't even try to hide it...she didn't even had a face of regret, she told me and walked away.
Me: John...Im sorry, i..i don't know what to say.
John: No it's fine, *sniffle* had a feeling this was happening either way, she was acting so distant. When she asked if I could go over to her house I was so happy. But...I don't know, I-

Mason: OI Y/N ! LETS GO, WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE
Me: Shit
John: It's okay you can go, I'll be fine.

I looked at him and nod. I left to let him think that I was leaving but I wasn't planning to anymore. I went downstairs and told the guys quietly that I was staying for John, I explained to them and told them to not tell him anything about it. They understood and each gave me a hug as they left.
