Chapter 13

Lloyd and Kai walked through the castle, headed towards the dining room. "I've bee completely fine surviving off candy for the past few days Kai. I'm fine." Lloyd complained

"Sensei told me to make sure you ate lunch today." Kai smiled

"Fine, only because Uncle Wu can be slightly terrifying when he's mad."

Kai laughed "So are you Lloyd."

"I think everyone in my family is scary when they're mad, then again, my dad was only mad when he was evil so... I guess we don't really know."

The two were about to step into the dining room, when out of nowhere, something blew up behind them. "What was that?!" Kai exclaimed as he stepped between Lloyd and where the sound had come from. There was a cloud of smoke, after a minute an Oni rose out of it. "You've got to be kidding me!"

"Kai, I have an idea, but we need everyone."

"What is it?"

"Tornado of creation, the only way to defeat destruction, is with its opposite, creation."

"Let's get the others then."

"We have to get past this guy first."

Kai looked at the Oni "Good point."

"What was that sound?!" Cole shouted as he stepped out of his room

"Well we know it wasn't your cooking for once." Jay joked, as he came out into the hall as well

"It came from the dining hall!" Zane exclaimed "An Oni, Lloyd and Kai are there!" He called to the others as he looked through his falcon vision (I don't care if he still has the falcon or not, I don't remember if he does.)

Nya gasped, "The Oni were after Lloyd! We need to help him!" She rushed down the hall towards the dining room

The Oni laughed darkly when it saw Lloyd. "Your freedom ends today Hybrid."

Lloyd frowned "Yeah, I don't think so." In his hands lit up golden orbs of energy. He didn't notice.

"Lloyd, your powers." Kai pointed out

"Shit. It's back."

The Oni raised an eyebrow "Back?"

"I don't have to explain to you!" Lloyd shouted as he threw the orbs at the Oni.

The Oni moved out of the way. "You've had them before. That's how you defeated The Overlord. You would have never come out alive if you hadn't gotten these powers." The Oni laughed, just before getting kicked in the back of the head by Nya

She landed and yelled at the Oni "Stay away from my brother and my friend!"

Soon Jay, Cole, and Zane joined them. "You are all foolish to think you can stop me."

"Guys, they're back." Lloyd said, worry in his eyes

"The Oni? Obviously." Jay shrugged

"No I mean... I mean the golden powers. They're, they're back."

"Oh crap." Nya mumbled, "Well, how're we gonna beat this guy?"

"Tornado of creation." Lloyd mumbled

"NINJAGO!" The ninja yelled as they began to do spinjitzu.

"Fire!"

"Earth!"

"Lightning!"

"Ice!"

"Water!"

"I don't know what my power is called so I'm just gonna yell Gold!"

"Where's Lloyd!" Kai exclaimed as he looked around for his friend

"Over there!" Nya shouted as she pointed at their unconscious friend, who was buried in a pile of wooden debris from the battle

"No!" Lloyd lay there silently, no pulse, for a full minute. Nya began to cry into Jay's shoulder, just as Wu, Misako, and Garmadon rushed over to them

"Lloyd!" Garmadon yelled as he ran over to his son "Lloyd, please!" He hugged Lloyd

Misako joined Garmadon, and hugged their son. After another minute, Lloyd slowly opened his eyes. "Mom? Dad?" He questioned

"He didn't have a pulse, how is he alive?" Jay asked

"By all means it doesn't make any sense." Zane shrugged

"Who cares! He's alive!" Kai grinned

"I was DEAD?!" Lloyd exclaimed when his friends explained what had happened "For how long?!"

Nya shrugged "Like two minutes."

"You got better." Jay smiled, silently laughing

"Jay, that's not how the meme goes, jeez." Kai complained
