"Mate..."

As soon as that one word came out, he froze. I probably shouldn't have said that. But either way, it's not like he knew what it meant, right. But then again, why does he looks startled as soon as I said that word. I turned my attention over to his brothers and their eyes showed everything. They were all shocked. It as if they heard me, but how?

My voice was so low enough for Shane to hear it, but from the looks of it, they really heard me. I guess they probably just have a strong sense of hearing. I turned my attention back to Shane as he spun around and faced me with a calm expression on him.

"Yes Mate, could I help you?" he replied with a shy smile

My eyes widened. Did he just call me 'Mate'? I'm pretty sure he did. A huge grin spread onto my face as a loud howl was released from my wolf. Even he was thrilled as soon as that registered into my brain. I could feel my wolf doing flips as he chants for our mate's name like it was a mantra. I couldn't help but joins him in my head.

I was practically on cloud 9. Did I do something good lately to deserve this? I thought I have to do all those shitty things again when you have a human mate, make them trust you and assured them that we won't hurt them and everything. But I guess I'm just lucky and-

I turned my gaze over to my mate and I guess I pretty much zoned out back there. I blinked as a blushed crept onto my face. He just smiles at me even when I just made a fool of myself. I guess it's pretty much a normal routine for him to find everyone around him zoned out so easily as soon as they watch how perfect my mate looks like. Yes, MY mate, my beautiful mate. I'm a possessive werewolf and no one's allowed to get close to my mate from now on. I could already see him as the pack's Luna and I swear he's going to be one amazing Luna. Everyone's going to respect him and showered him with love and kindness and even protected him with their lives, of course but once they knew who he was; they would probably volunteered themselves to protect him and watch over him and obeyed his orders every step of the way. Once again, man I have to have control of myself. I'm standing right in front of my mate and there I just made a fool of myself, TWICE. Damn, I guess his beauty is really distracting, and perfect. Look how his puppy brown eyes, those smooth silky black hair and look at those perfect pale skin of his. It's really mesmerizing. No wonder everyone was head on heels over him. His feature makes him look perfect. His eyes, his nose, his hair and damn those glossy pink lips. It really compliments everything. From top to bottom, he looks so perfect. But what would it feel like if he was on bed, writhing underneath me and-

My wolf growled. I was about to reply back to him that our mate will accept us even if we made a fool of ourselves, but Shane beat me up.  

"Hey mate, do you need some help? The lads and I could call the ambulance for you" he said and it sounded thick, more like a British accent.

He doesn't know what 'Mate' means you idiot. He thinks it's a friend thing kind of 'Mate'. David said through the mind link.

I frowned. He didn't know what it meant. He doesn't know what 'Mate' means. My wolf whimpered as soon as that thought registered into my head. And he said I was a fool. At least I didn't cry or anything like he did.
