Looking around the club I wasn't really feeling it but my brother drug me out tonight complaining that I work to much.
"Nigga why the fuck you just sitting here when all these fine ass bitches surrounding us".Asad said walking over sitting beside me
"This shit lame you already know this not my type of scene". I said looking over seeing my girlfriend crystal walking towards me
"Who invited this bitch". He asked mugging her as she walked up sitting in my lap
"I did nigga". I said laughing at the mean look he was giving her
"Hey Asad". She said waving at him
"It's gunz and don't talk to me". He said looking her up and down
"Why are you so mean to me I'm your nieces mom". She said like it was supposed to mean something to him
"And I give a fuck because". He asked as he stood up
"You know what don't answer that aye bro I'm about to go get a drink". He said slapping hands with me before walking off
" why you always let him talk to me like that". She asked turning towards me
" whatever problem y'all have don't got shit to do with me". I said shaking my head as my phone rung
Looking down I see that it's my moms calling so I tap her leg.
"Aye get up real quick". I said and she still sat on my lap like I didn't just tell her to move
"Yo I just said get the fuck up". I said pushing her to the side before walking out of the club
"Hello". I said as I answered the phone
"Arsalan come get Chanel she hasn't stopped crying since crystals mom dropped her off". She said and I could hear Chanel in the background crying
"What you mean crystal mom dropped her off crystal had her the whole day". I said with a confused look on my face
"No sherri said she has had Chanel all day and crystal wasn't answering her phone calls". She said and I sigh running my hand down my face
"This fucking bitch man I swear". I mumbled but I guess she still heard me
"Arsalan don't play with me I don't appreciate that word directed towards any female". She said in a stern voice before she went on a rant
Walking down the street I look around scoping out my surroundings. As I walked farther down the street I hear a cry coming from around the corner. Walking over I see a girl with a baby trying to keep it quiet.
"Shh please for mommy". I hear her whisper but the baby kept crying
"Aye let me hold see em". I said hanging up the phone as my mom kept talking
When she heard my voice she jumped before scooting back into the brick wall.
"I ain't gone hurt your baby ma just let me try something". I said and she looked at me for a while before handing the baby to me
Laying the baby on my chest I pat it's butt and rock side to side. Minutes later the crying quieted down and I looked down at the girl as she looked at me.
"T-thank you". She said rubbing her arm nervously
Giving her a once over I notice how dirty she looked but the baby was clean.
"How long you been homeless and how old is your baby". I ask looking down at the baby
"3 years and he's a month old". She said standing up and running her hand threw his long hair
"So why yo baby daddy let you live on the streets with his kid". I ask watching her as she looked away
"U-um he I-I was raped".she said looking down as I shook my head
"How you keep him so clean and he looks well feed". I said and she smiled looking at the baby
"I bathe him at gas stations and I steal formula". She said pushing her hair behind her ear
"So you didn't have time to bathe or steal for yourself". I ask not trying to be rude but genuinely wanting to know wassup
"It takes me so long with him that I don't have the time and as long as he's eating I'm fine". She said looking up at me as I stared at her
"I tell you what grab y'all things and follow me I got a job for you". I said and she nodded going to pick up a bag full of baby stuff and a blanket
"Matter a fact leave that shit here I'll get lil homie some new shit". I said watching her put it back down
Turning around I start walking off and she walked so light I could barely tell she was behind me causing me to keep looking back every once in a while. Finally making it to my car I unlock the door and let her get in before handing her the baby and getting in myself.
Cutting the car on I cut the music on and pull off.
Crystal can find her own way home...
