Darryl woke up, pinned down by Zak. He was snoring loudly, right in his face, looking innocent as he dreamt. Smiling, Darryl gently lifted Zak off of him and left him still asleep in bed, walking out of the room. After he showered and dressed, he peeked his head around their bedroom door to see if Zak was awake.
"Heyyyy," Zak called sleepily, "why did you leave?"
"I didn't want to wake you up, silly. What do you want for breakfast?"Darryl hunted through his drawers, putting clothes out on the bed for Zak to wear.
"I don't know... can we have ice cream? Pancakes? Ooh! Ice cream and pancakes?!"
"I'll see what I can do, muffin," grinned Darryl. "While I'm doing that, you can have a shower and get dressed. There's a plastic chair in the shower, remember to take breaks when you need them. And don't get your head wet!" He called from the corridor.
Darryl got to work in the kitchen, whipping up fresh batter (packet mix just isn't the same) and rooting around in the freezer for ice cream. Soon, Zak joined him in the kitchen, showered and dressed. He sat at the table and watched Darryl make a stack of steaming pancakes, then blob two scoops of chocolate ice cream on top. It looked amazing.
He tucked in straight away, gobbling his share down, whilst Darryl ate his pancakes with honey at a more normal pace. When he was finished, he sat back, feeling really full. "Ughhhh..." He groaned, "maybe ice cream wasn't such a good idea."
"Yeah," Darryl agreed distractedly, miles away.
"What's on your mind?" Questioned Zak, looking into his eyes.
"Well," he blushed, "I was actually thinking about the situation with your mom."
"Oh." Zak pulled his phone out and started texting.
Darryl watched, puzzled, as Zak typed every so often, frowning. "What are you doing?" He asked, curiosity burning. Zak didn't reply, just started typing furiously. Then he handed Darryl his phone.
"Read," Zak muttered. Darryl did as he was told, scanning the messages on the screen:
Zak (9:27): Mom I was serious on the phone to you.
Mom (9:28): It's just a phase, I'm sure you'll grow out of it. Anyway, to me homosexuality considered a sin.
Zak (9:28): It's not just a phase!! I love Darryl and I don't care if your bullshit religion thinks I'm wrong love is love. If you can't accept me the way I am you're a pretty crappy mother. I'M GAY! So what?
Mom (9:30): I don't think this is natural or right, but you seem adamant and I won't argue with you. I just hope you know what you're doing, Zak.
Darryl sighed, pulling Zak in for a hug. "She'll come around eventually," he reassured him. "But please, don't wreck your relationship with your mom because of me."
"I don't care. I love you, and if my mom hates me for that, then so be it." Zak's jaw locked defiantly, and Darryl laughed at him. Zak scowled at him, angry.
"Hey, stop shooting me daggers!" Darryl rushed, "You just looked really adorable when you were trying to be fierce," he winked.
"Adorable?!" Zak mock growled.
"Fine: cute, sexy, beautiful, sexy, handsome... sexy," Darryl raised an eyebrow.
[SMUT WARNING]
"I feel like that shower will turn out to be a waste of time," Zak giggled, kissing him. His hands roamed Darryl's body under his shirt, his smooth chest, tight stomach - exploring under the waistband of his jeans, Zak felt Darryl's erection springing up and met his eyes, smiling mischievously. Suddenly, the bedroom felt very far away. Zak jumped up, wrapping his legs around Darryl's waist as they kissed passionately, Darryl carrying them to their bed as quickly as he could.
