Hao Mei never expected that there would be a day where he used sweet talk to soothe a man's anger, especially when said man was a cold guy like KO.

When Hao Mei noticed the other man walking around with an unreadable face, he looked at Bei Wei Wei with uncertainty, "So... he's really angry?"

Bei Wei Wei sighed, "Of course. Who would've thought that you actually don't believe in him?"

Hao Mei's lips curled in dissatisfaction as he thought to himself, what does it have to do with me not believing in him?

He also didn't expect that KO would win the second round. In the beginning, he's only unconsciously rooting for KO. That's all. Lao San even mentioned that he lost intentionally for the sake of the barbeque party.

Bei Wei Wei continued to chatter beside him, "You better comfort him quickly. What if he doesn't want to barbecue for us anymore?"

Hao Mei immediately panicked and chased after KO while shouting his name.

However, KO didn't heed him at all. Although Hao Mei had fanned him from the side while he was cooking, had gotten his grilled fish stolen by everyone else when he was distributing it and ended up with nothing left as he stood there and wailed mournfully, KO still didn't show any response.

His heart weighed down with dejection as it finally dawned on him that the other man was truly angry.

Frankly speaking, Hao Mei really had no experience in sweet-talking and coaxing other people. In spite of his wandering thoughts, he still joined the crowd to play games.

This lasted until Yu Ban Shan lost so pitifully that he didn't even get any plate. While he was complaining pathetically, KO leisurely walked over and stood in the empty space between Xiao Nai and Bei Wei Wei.

The chicken wing in Hao Mei's hand made its way towards KO's direction before stopping in front of the hacker.

When KO only spared him a few glances, Hao Mei's heart became upset.

Luckily for him, KO finally accepted the offered chicken wing. This simple gesture lifted most of the burden in Hao Mei's heart. He finally had the mood to joke around with Yu Ban Shan and the other Zhi Yi employees.

The crowd of people hung out and had fun until midnight before they started to discuss the hotel room distribution.

Hao Mei took the initiative to snag the key card for the room across the swimming pool. As he started to head to the room, he suddenly realized that KO was not following him.

"KO, why aren't you coming along?" He ran back while assuming that perhaps KO still had other things to do.

Who would've thought that KO would reply with: "I'm waiting for a vacant room."

"No way." Hao Mei was instantly dumbfounded. Distress slowly seeped into his tone as he said, "What are you waiting for? I've gotten the key card."

"You've gotten the room card, but what does it have to do with KO?" Bei Wei Wei interrupted from the side.

Yu Ban Shan also put in his two cents, "Exactly, Mei Ren. Who said KO wants to room with you?"
