"let's get one thing straight, daniel." louisa snapped at fuckshit, using his real name. "i didn't fight that bitch over you, don't be flattered."

"so you just fought her out of nowhere?" fuckshit looked up at her with a smile on his face, he was helping a customer fix his board.

"i never fucking liked her, daniel! she just happened to be at the right place at the right time."

"the right place?" rueben interjected. louisa nodded at his question.

"the right fucking place."

"i feel like you've been watching too much reality television," ray shook his head. "you can't just fight who you want when you want."

louisa ignored her friend. she knew he was right but it was the beginning of the summer, she felt like acting out on a whim. sam was next.

the customer left and louisa sat on the stool beside the table where they set up their skateboards. fuckshit stared at her the entire time, an unreadable look in his eyes. ever since she'd been back she was different. after they found george's body she began to go back to her normal self, but she still wasn't the old louisa.

she was more violent. she didn't give a fuck. he liked that.
