ooo. MARS SUMMERS was a catastrophe in all the right ways— a perfect distraction from the waking tragedy that was Harry Potters' life. She was a mixture of sunny days and loud laughs, terrible art, and even worse color coordination; graffitied alleys and chunky jewelry that was just tacky enough to be considered "cute " (though let's be honest, she probably stole it all from some poor old woman with dementia). She was dye-stained hands because she just had to do it on her own and homemade friendship bracelets that were equally as distasteful as her jewelry. Mars Summers was everything that Harry Potter needed to forget himself. Mars Summers was a muggle. Mars Summers was just brave enough to sneak into the Dursleys' house but absolutely terrified of the dark, so she crashed on his bedroom floor for fear of walking back to her home under the stars (though she lived only three houses down) more times than she'd like to admit. Mars Summers was fleeting. She was one-hundred days.
